Historical deal note: On January 2, 2026, Amazon listed the Apple Watch Series 11 at $299 for the 42mm GPS model and $329 for the 46mm GPS model. Both prices were advertised as $100 off and described by MacRumors as record lows for the tracked configurations. These were New Year holiday-carryover prices, not confirmed live offers today.
The best deal was the Apple Watch Series 11 at $299
The headline offer in the January 2, 2026 MacRumors roundup applied to specific aluminum GPS configurations sold through Amazon:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
| Configuration | Historical deal price | Advertised saving | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Watch Series 11, 42mm GPS | $299 | $100 off | Smaller wrists and lower cost |
| Apple Watch Series 11, 46mm GPS | $329 | $100 off | Larger display and easier reading |
Apple’s published U.S. pricing documentation later listed the comparable 42mm and 46mm GPS aluminum models at about $399 and $429. That makes the January prices roughly 25.1% and 23.3% below those listed prices, respectively.
“Lowest-ever” should be read as an attributed deal-tracker claim, not a universal guarantee covering every Series 11 color, band, material, seller, or cellular model. The original roundup did not list Series 11 cellular pricing, so the $299 and $329 figures should not be applied to GPS + Cellular watches.

Which Series 11 should you buy?
Choose the 42mm GPS model
The 42mm version was the standout value at $299. It is the better choice for smaller wrists, buyers who keep an iPhone nearby, and anyone who wants the Series 11 feature set without cellular-service costs. Apple lists the aluminum GPS model at approximately 30.3 grams and specifies wrist compatibility from 130mm to 200mm.
Choose the 46mm GPS model
At $329, the 46mm watch cost only $30 more. That premium bought a larger case and display, making on-screen text, notifications, workouts, and controls easier to see. It weighs approximately 37.8 grams and fits wrists measuring 140mm to 245mm, according to Apple’s specifications.
Is cellular worth paying for?
GPS is sufficient for most buyers who carry an iPhone. Cellular is useful if you regularly call, message, stream audio, or use data while leaving the phone at home. It also requires a compatible carrier, activation, and an ongoing monthly plan. Compare the total cost—not just the watch’s purchase price—before choosing cellular.

Also check the included band and sizing. A discounted watch may not include the exact band style or length you prefer, and titanium models or premium band configurations should not be assumed to qualify for the advertised prices.
Why Series 11 was a strong buy
Apple Watch Series 11, introduced in 2025, includes Apple’s S10 chip, 64GB of storage, an always-on OLED display with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, and up to 24 hours of normal-use battery life. Low Power Mode can extend rated battery life to as much as 38 hours. Apple also says 15 minutes of charging can provide up to eight hours of normal use.
Its feature set includes ECG, heart-rate notifications, sleep score, sleep-apnea notifications, and hypertension notifications. It is rated IP6X for dust resistance and WR50 for water resistance. Health features are wellness and notification tools—not medical diagnoses or substitutes for professional evaluation. Apple describes hypertension notifications as identifying possible signs of chronic high blood pressure; users should discuss concerns with a clinician.

AirTag: $19 for one or $64.98 for four
The January deal listed a single AirTag at $19, down from $29, and a four-pack at $64.98, down from $99. The four-pack worked out to approximately $16.25 per tracker, so it was the better unit value—but only if you actually needed four.
AirTag depends on an Apple device, Apple Account, Bluetooth, and the Find My network. It is not a standalone real-time GPS tracker. Note that Apple now identifies the 2026 second-generation AirTag as a separate product with updated compatibility requirements; the January prices should not automatically be treated as AirTag 2 prices.

Apple Pencil Pro: $94.97
Amazon listed Apple Pencil Pro at $94.97, compared with Apple’s $129 price—a mathematical saving of $34.03, or about 26.4%. The accessory is compatible only with specific iPad models. Check Apple’s compatibility list before buying; an older iPad or a model limited to Apple Pencil USB-C will not become compatible because the Pencil is discounted.

The roundup also included non-Apple products. Jackery advertised New Year savings of up to $3,600, while Anker SOLIX advertised discounts of up to 65%. Those are maximum claims across selected products, not typical savings on every power station.

Samsung deals included the following reported prices:
- 75-inch The Frame Pro: $1,999.99, down from $3,199.99—$1,200 or approximately 37.5% off.
- 55-inch QLED QEF1: $359.99, down from $599.99.
- 55-inch QLED Q7F: $399.99, down from $529.99.
- 27-inch Odyssey OLED G6 monitor: $649.99, down from $899.99.

How to evaluate a historical deal
- Verify the exact configuration: case size, GPS or cellular, material, band, color, and seller.
- Check the date: January 2 prices may have ended or returned only for selected variants.
- Confirm seller and returns: Prefer the named retailer or an authorized seller, with clear warranty and return terms.
- Include ongoing costs: Cellular service, replacement batteries, accessories, and subscriptions can change the real value.
- Do not overread headline discounts: “Record low,” “up to 65% off,” and “up to $3,600 off” all need configuration-level verification.
Verdict: At the recorded price, the 42mm GPS Apple Watch Series 11 at $299 was the best buy for most iPhone owners. The 46mm GPS model at $329 was worth the extra $30 if you preferred its larger display. Treat both as historical prices unless a retailer confirms the same offer again.
