It is also slightly lighter, but its compatible band range starts higher and ends lower. Those measurements make it a useful comparison—not a guarantee of personal fit.
Compact G-Shock dimensions and fit at a glance
Casio’s specifications show the GMA-P2100 as the more compact option by case width, while the full-size GA-2100 has the widest listed compatible band range. Case measurements and band ranges describe different aspects of fit, so use both when comparing models.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| GMA-P2100-7A | 46 × 40.2 × 11.2 mm | 40 g | 145–190 mm | Casio describes the GMA-P2100 as slimmer and more compact than the GMA-S2100, with a shorter band. Casio product specifications |
| GMA-S2100-1A | 46.2 × 42.9 × 11.2 mm | 41 g | 140–205 mm | The already compact GA-2100 variant; the GMA-P2100 is narrower by the listed width figures. Casio product specifications |
| GA-2100 | not stated in the cited comparison | not stated in the cited comparison | 145–215 mm | Casio’s comparison gives the band range, but the cited material does not state a corresponding weight or case dimensions. Casio model comparison |
The P2100 is 2.7 mm narrower than the GMA-S2100-1A according to those listed widths. Its band range is 145–190 mm, compared with 140–205 mm for the GMA-S2100-1A. That means the P2100 has a higher listed lower limit as well as a shorter upper limit; it should not be assumed to suit every wrist that is smaller than average.

Which model should you choose?
Choose the GMA-P2100 if case width is your priority
The P2100 is the strongest specification-backed choice when the GMA-S2100 feels too wide on your wrist. Casio describes it as a slimmer, more compact take on the GMA-S2100 and publishes a 40.2 mm case width. Its design also removes the GMA-S2100’s 9 o’clock inset dial, creating a more streamlined face. That is a layout difference, not proof that one display is easier for everyone to read.
#1 Best Overall
- Case size (L× W× H): 46 × 40.2 × 11.2 mm
Casio’s wording that it is made “to fit smaller wrists with total comfort” is manufacturer language, not independent wearer testing. Treat the published dimensions as a starting point and assess the watch on your own wrist if possible.
Choose the GMA-S2100 if you want the broader listed band range
The GMA-S2100-1A has a 42.9 mm listed case width and a 140–205 mm compatible band range. The P2100 is narrower, but its band range begins at 145 mm. If your wrist circumference is near the lower end of the P2100’s stated range, the GMA-S2100’s lower listed limit may be relevant; actual fit still depends on how the case and strap sit on you.

Casio lists the GA-2100 compatible band range as 145–215 mm in its comparison with the two GMA models. The cited comparison does not provide its case dimensions or weight, so it is not possible from these figures alone to rank its physical fit against the GMA-P2100 or GMA-S2100. It is the full-size model in this comparison, rather than the more compact alternative.

How to judge whether a compact G-Shock will fit
- Measure your wrist circumference. Use a flexible tape or a strip of paper where you would normally wear the watch. Compare that measurement with Casio’s compatible band range, while remembering that the range is not a personal comfort guarantee.
- Compare case width as well as band range. For these listings, the P2100 is 40.2 mm wide and the GMA-S2100-1A is 42.9 mm wide; thickness is listed as 11.2 mm for both. A smaller width may help the case sit within the wrist, but published dimensions cannot predict comfort on every wrist shape.
- Try the specific model and colorway when possible. Regional listings and model suffixes can differ. Check the official listing for the exact version you are considering, including its band range and features, and try it on if you can.
What the specifications can—and cannot—tell you
Casio’s pages provide measurable dimensions, weights, band ranges, and product features. They do not establish how comfortable the watches feel across different wrist shapes or how readable each display will be for an individual wearer. The specifications are also tied to the listed variants: the figures here are for the GMA-P2100-7A and GMA-S2100-1A, and availability or suffixes may vary by region.
Casio lists shock resistance and 200-metre water resistance for both cited GMA models. For functions and other details, consult the official page for the exact colorway rather than assuming every suffix has an identical listing. The sources cited here do not establish current prices, stock, or hands-on fit results.
