The Bohen Mille-Mer stands out less for a depth rating most owners will use than for its 12 o’clock crown, unusual magnified date display, carefully engineered bracelet and distinctive case design. Bohen lists the watch at €3,590 including VAT, with 100 ATM water resistance and a three-year warranty. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent certification of every production watch; meanwhile, listed availability is inconsistent, so verify stock and checkout terms directly before deciding.
What makes the Mille-Mer different?
The design’s most conspicuous choice is the crown at 12 o’clock rather than the more familiar 3 or 4 o’clock position. Bohen also places a date magnifier inside the domed sapphire crystal: according to the brand, two bridges hold the lens above the dial and hands. The result is a dial architecture that is unusual even among purpose-built dive watches.
Bohen also describes machined hour markers, Super-LumiNova X1, and a ceramic rotating bezel. The brand claims its lume is 50% more powerful and lasts twice as long as that of other brands, but the reviewed sources do not provide independent comparative testing of that claim. [Bohen collection page]

A 1,000 m rating is an unusually deep stated capability, but it should not be confused with an independently verified guarantee or with a reason to take an unserviced watch to that depth. For many buyers, fit, comfort, bracelet adjustment and service access will matter more in ordinary wear than the maximum rating.
How does it wear?
The available sources do not provide a complete verified set of case dimensions and weight, so a precise fit judgment cannot be made from them. MECHANICS reviewer Olivier Mory describes the watch as thick but wearable. A Dialicious owner review describes it as substantial yet comfortable for that reviewer. Both are individual impressions, not a promise that it will suit another wrist.

The owner review gives a bracelet width of 24 mm at the lugs tapering to 16 mm at the clasp. Bohen describes the bracelet as having a push-button quick release and a ratcheting micro-adjustment buckle, with an included silicone strap. Mory also praised the bracelet and its simple adjustment system. These details make the bracelet’s adjustability a meaningful part of the ownership proposition, but they do not substitute for trying the watch on. [Dialicious owner review] [MECHANICS review]
What do independent reviews establish?
Mory’s MECHANICS review, dated 28 November 2021 and updated 13 January 2022, reports a 108,000-click bezel test. The reviewer framed that procedure as an accelerated approximation of five years of daily use under an intentionally demanding scenario; afterward, he said the bezel retained its clicks and did not turn in the wrong direction. He also reports six impact tests across three axes without observed functional failure. These are results from one sample under the reviewer’s stated procedure, not a broad reliability study, certification or guarantee for every Mille-Mer.

The same technical review is strongly positive about finishing and bracelet engineering. Separately, the Dialicious owner review, published and updated 16 September 2023, praises finishing and lume and describes comfort over the owner’s one-to-three-year period of possession. That remains a subjective account rather than controlled testing. Together, these reviews offer useful impressions, but neither settles long-term reliability across the production run.

Bohen’s product page lists €3,590 including VAT and says “Not available.” Its collection page lists black, blue and grey variants at €3,590 including taxes; it describes 500 black-dial pieces and 80 each for blue and grey. At the time reflected by that page, black was out of stock while blue and grey were marked “last pieces.” These are manufacturer-page statements, not confirmation of inventory at checkout, and stock can change. Who should consider the Mille-Mer?
The Mille-Mer makes the most sense for someone who values independent-brand design, unusual dial and crown architecture, substantial stated water resistance, and a bracelet with quick changes and on-the-fly adjustment—and who is comfortable with its listed price. Before buying, consider:
- Fit: The sources do not establish a full set of dimensions or weight. Try it on if possible, especially if you prefer thin or compact watches.
- Design: The 12 o’clock crown and internal date magnifier are its signature features; they will be distinctive rather than universally appealing.
- Ownership support: Confirm service arrangements and local support before purchase. The reviewed material does not establish where or how servicing is available.
- Value: Decide whether the design, finishing and bracelet engineering justify the price for you. The deep stated rating may be less important than everyday wearability.
- Alternatives: Compare dimensions, wrist balance, movement and power reserve, bracelet adjustment, strap choices, warranty, price and service options. Mory’s comparison with the Seiko SNR033 is limited to discussion of finishing and wear; he notes that the watches differ in movement, water resistance and bezel function, so it is not a direct specification match.
Verdict
The Bohen Mille-Mer is a distinctive, high-priced dive watch whose strongest case is the combination of uncommon design, bracelet engineering and ambitious manufacturer-listed specifications. Independent reviewers provide encouraging but limited impressions of comfort, finishing and sample performance. Its most practical buying questions are whether it fits your wrist, whether its design appeals to you, whether you can access service, and whether a specific variant is genuinely available at checkout.
