Design: a motorsport-and-powerboat influence
Depancel frames the Allure D[R]IVER around the glamour and adrenaline of the 1970s and 1980s, drawing on Cigarette boats and motor racing. That is the brand’s design positioning, not a claim about tested performance. France Horlogerie’s July 10, 2025 launch coverage described the same inspiration and reported deep-blue and red-and-black versions (France Horlogerie).
The official product listing describes the black version’s 316L stainless-steel case as polished and brushed. It pairs the case with a screw-down crown and a graduated, bidirectional 12-hour bezel with an aluminum insert. The crystal is sapphire with an anti-reflective coating, according to Depancel’s product page.
Movement and calendar functions
Depancel specifies a Japanese Miyota 9122 automatic movement. The watch displays hours, minutes and seconds, along with the month, weekday and date. The calendar indications make this more than a date-only diver-style watch; the available product information does not provide independent movement-accuracy results.

Versions, pricing and availability
France Horlogerie’s July 10, 2025 coverage described a deep-blue version and a red-and-black version, as well as integrated steel or FKM rubber bracelet options. Depancel’s EU collection listing instead currently shows D[r]iver Blue and D[r]iver Black, with the black model marked sold out in that listing. When crawled, both were shown at €855; that price and stock status are a market-specific snapshot, not a guarantee of present availability. Variant names and options differ between the launch-era trade report and the collection page. Confirm the exact reference, colorway and supplied bracelet or strap before ordering. The available information does not establish that the strap and bracelet are interchangeable, or that the rubber strap uses a standard replacement size.
Warranty and returns
Depancel’s black-version product page states a five-year warranty and a 30-day return period. The company’s international storefront also advertises free shipping, free returns and exchanges, and a five-year warranty (international storefront). These are seller terms, not independent product findings. Check the destination storefront for the applicable conditions, exclusions, duties and return eligibility before purchase.

What the published information does—and does not—establish
The manufacturer’s listing gives buyers a clear specification set: a compact 39 mm diameter with 44 mm lug-to-lug length, calendar functions beyond the date, sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown. However, those figures do not establish how the watch wears, how accurately its movement runs, or how well it holds up over time. No independent accuracy or durability results, or firsthand test observations, are available to support those conclusions.
