What is the Breguet Classique 7145 Year of the Snake?
It is Breguet’s Classique 7145 tribute to Chinese New Year and the Year of the Snake, limited to eight pieces. The manufacturer describes it as an exclusive model highlighting guilloché and engraving, two handcrafted techniques. WatchTime identifies Chinese New Year as beginning January 29, 2025, the start of the Year of the Wood Snake; Breguet’s product listing calls the watch a Year of the Snake tribute.

The design’s central contrast is between the restrained proportions of a traditional dress watch and a richly worked zodiac dial. Breguet describes the snake as bas-relief engraving on a hand-guilloché gold dial, with translucent miniature painting applied to the foliage. The listed dial colors are black and green lacquer, with gold Breguet hollow apple-style hands.

Breguet lists the two references as variants of the same limited-edition model. The cited product page does not state a price difference, how the eight pieces are allocated between variants, or a functional difference between them.
What movement does it use?
Both versions use Breguet’s self-winding calibre 502.3. The manufacturer lists 162 components, a 45-hour power reserve and a frequency of 3 Hz. The movement is 2.4 mm thick and 27.4 mm wide, and uses a flat silicon balance spring. Its 22K gold oscillating weight is hand-guilloché.

The 3-bar rating is a modest water-resistance specification, not a reason to treat this dress watch as a swimming watch. For replacement straps, 21 mm is the stated lug width; that measurement alone does not confirm the fit of a particular strap or buckle.
