Launch coverage published in April and May 2025 lists a 43 mm case, a 60-hour automatic chronograph movement and, in Monochrome’s report, a 50.67 mm lug-to-lug span. The prices below are historical launch figures, not confirmed current prices.
Which Multifort Skeleton Chronograph versions were reported?
The two launch reports identify the same three references. The main differences are the dial and case finish and the included wrist fitting.
| Reference | Dial and case | Wrist fitting |
|---|---|---|
| M038.662.17.040.00 | Blue dial, stainless-steel case | Textured blue rubber strap |
| M038.662.11.060.00 | Anthracite dial, stainless-steel case | Steel bracelet |
| M038.662.37.050.00 | Black dial, black PVD-coated steel case, orange accents | Black rubber strap |
These references and configurations were reported by Time and Watches on 29 April 2025 and Monochrome Watches on 1 May 2025. Rivoli Group’s 4 July 2025 newsletter also summarized the grey, blue and black PVD/rubber versions.
What are the reported movement and chronograph specifications?
Time and Watches describes a skeletonized Mido Caliber 60 based on ETA A05.951. Its launch report gives automatic winding, a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), up to 60 hours of power reserve and a Nivachron balance spring. Monochrome’s technical specifications also list automatic winding, 28,800 vph and a 60-hour reserve. These are specifications reported in 2025 launch coverage; a current official Mido product page was not available in the reviewed material.

- Movement: Automatic Mido Caliber - Power reserve 80 hours
- Case Type: Stainless steel - See-through case back Screw-down crown
- Case Size: 42mm - Band Width: 22mm - Case Thickness: 10.63mm

The openworked dial exposes parts of the movement while retaining a three-register chronograph layout: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6, and running seconds at 9. The reports also describe a tachymeter scale and luminous hands. Time and Watches notes a sapphire crystal caseback.
How large is the case, and what does that mean for fit?
Both launch articles report a 43 mm case diameter and 14.4 mm thickness. Monochrome additionally lists a 50.67 mm lug-to-lug measurement, sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating on both sides, a screw-down crown and 100 m water resistance. The lug-to-lug figure is particularly useful for judging wrist coverage: compare it with a watch you already find comfortable, rather than relying on diameter alone. These measurements and construction details come from the named publishers’ 2025 reports, not an independent fit or water-resistance test.

How do the three versions differ in wear and usability?
- Blue: stainless steel and a textured blue rubber strap give this reference the clearest color match between dial and strap.
- Anthracite: the steel bracelet is the only bracelet configuration among the three reported versions.
- Black PVD: the black-coated case and rubber strap are contrasted by orange details.
Time and Watches and Rivoli report a quick-change system for the bracelet or strap. That makes changing the supplied fitting more convenient, but it does not establish compatibility with every aftermarket strap or bracelet. Check the required dimensions and the specific fitting before buying a replacement.
