It uses caliber 567.2, and Breguet lists a 40-hour power reserve. The manufacturer’s instructions also set an important operating rule: the crown must be in its winding position before you activate the repeater.
What the Breguet 7637 is
The 7637 combines a traditional Classique design with a minute repeater, a complication that acoustically reports the time on demand. It is manually wound and offered in different precious-metal and dial configurations. The exact appearance depends on the reference number, so a photograph or specification for one version should not be assumed to describe every 7637.
How the minute repeater tells the time
Breguet describes the complication as striking “the hours, quarters and minutes on demand.” It uses one tone for the hours, a two-tone double strike for each quarter-hour, and a second tone for the minutes remaining after the last quarter.
At 11:59, for example, the watch sounds 11 hour strikes, three double quarter strikes, then 14 minute strikes. That sequence encodes the time; it is not a digital-style count of 59 individual minutes.

Breguet describes the components as designed to deliver “impeccable sound,” but that is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent listening result. No measured loudness, tone comparison or assessment of this watch’s sound is established here.
How to wind and operate it
Breguet’s manual recommends winding the watch daily at a fixed time. Wind until resistance is felt; the manual explicitly warns not to force the crown. It recommends turning the crown back half a turn after winding to release the winding train.

- Wind: Keep the crown in position 1, the winding position, and wind until resistance is felt. Do not force it.
- Release the winding train: After winding, turn the crown back half a turn.
- Set the time: Pull the crown to position 2, advance the hands in the direction specified by the manual, then return the crown to position 1.
- Activate the repeater: With the crown in position 1, pull the striking slide fully down. Do not operate the slide while the crown is outside position 1.
The manual says the watch is not water-resistant. A current listing for reference 7637BR/12/9ZU also says “Not waterproof”; check the exact reference’s instructions and listing rather than assuming every configuration has identical specifications.

How the 7637 variants differ
Breguet lists rose-gold and white-gold versions and describes both guilloché and Grand Feu enamel dial treatments. One specific reference, 7637BR/2N/9ZU, is identified with a black Grand Feu enamel dial. The product presentation also describes a guilloché dial with 24-hour indication and double seconds. Confirm the details against the exact reference shown or offered, rather than treating one dial description as universal.

The 22 mm lug width is a case measurement, not proof that an arbitrary replacement strap will fit the end shape or work with the original clasp. Confirm strap and clasp compatibility with Breguet for the reference in question. The available specifications do not establish better acoustic performance for one variant over another.
