It pairs vintage-style proportions and a Klip bracelet with a sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance and a Sellita manual-winding movement. Forstner listed it at $700 USD and marked it sold out on October 8, 2026.
What the Forstner F-6B/346 is—and what it is not
Forstner is known for bracelets, and presents the F-6B/346 as its own interpretation of the classic 6B/346 / Mark 11 look. Fratello’s hands-on review makes the distinction explicit: Forstner did not make an original Mark 11. The historical Mark 11 watches were made by IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre, according to Fratello’s account.
The model draws on a legibility-focused military pilot-watch design: a matte dial, Arabic numerals, clear minute markings, luminous cardinal indices and central seconds. Fratello describes the original Mark 11 specification as intended for accurate timekeeping suitable for astro-navigation. That is historical context from the review, not a claim that the Forstner is built to the original military specification.
How faithful is it to the historic design?
Forstner’s product page recounts the 1940s British Ministry of Defense requirement as calling for a matte black dial, Arabic numerals, white minute markings, four luminous cardinal graduations, center seconds, a stainless-steel case, screw-down case back, water resistance up to 20 feet and an inner soft-iron shield against magnetism. It also says some watches were fitted with a Bonklip-style bracelet under Ref. 6B/2763. This is the manufacturer’s summary of the historical specification, rather than a complete transcription of an archival standard.

The modern F-6B/346 is not a one-for-one reproduction. Its current specification includes a domed sapphire crystal and 100 m water resistance; the product page does not claim a soft-iron shield. Fratello also points to sapphire as a departure from the acrylic crystal used historically and describes the watch as a reworking of the design.

The published beat-rate figures differ: Forstner gives 28,800 vph, while Fratello’s 2023 review says 28,000 vph. For a current specification, the manufacturer’s figure is the appropriate reference, but the discrepancy is worth confirming with Forstner before treating the rate as settled.

Black or white dial?
Matte black
Forstner describes the black dial with white markers and C3 luminous material. It is the more direct match for the familiar high-contrast military layout.
Matte white
The white dial uses creamy orange luminous numerals with black accents, according to Forstner. It keeps the watch’s basic layout while giving it a noticeably different appearance from the black-dial historical inspiration.

What it is like to wear
The 36 mm diameter, 46 mm lug-to-lug length and 12.6 mm thickness give the watch compact, vintage-proportioned dimensions; its lug width is 18 mm. Those measurements are useful when comparing it with a watch already in your collection, especially if you prefer a smaller case rather than a larger contemporary pilot watch.
The period-style Forstner Klip bracelet is part of the package’s historical character. Fratello describes its bracelet as light and malleable, but says fastening it takes some fumbling. That is the reviewer’s hands-on impression, not a guarantee of how it will fit or feel on every wrist.

Forstner’s official product page listed the F-6B/346 at $700 USD and showed it as sold out when checked on October 8, 2026. Fratello recorded an $850 USD preorder price in its May 8, 2023 review; that is a historical preorder figure, not the current listed price. No Amazon listing or third-party stock status was verified.

Who should consider the F-6B/346?
- Consider it if you want a hand-wound watch with Mark 11-inspired styling, compact dimensions, a sapphire crystal and a period-style bracelet.
- Look more closely at its differences if historical fidelity is your priority: the modern watch has sapphire and published 100 m water resistance, and Forstner does not claim the historical inner soft-iron shield.
- Check the bracelet and winding experience against your own preferences. The bracelet’s fastening feel is subjective, and the movement is manually wound rather than automatic.
