What the Type XX 2067 is—and what it is not
Breguet presents the 2067 as the civilian member of its fourth-generation Type XX collection, drawing on civilian Type XX watches from the 1950s and 1960s. It is not a claim that the modern watch is a military-issued instrument. The steel references are 2067ST/92/3WU and 2067ST/92/SW0, both with black dials; the rose-gold reference 2067RK/Y9/9WU has a sunburst blue dial, according to Breguet’s product page.

The distinction between Type XX and Type 20 matters when comparing the 2067 with the military-inspired Type 20 Chronographe 2057. Their counter layouts differ, reflecting the civilian and military branches of the design rather than interchangeable names for the same dial.

Four indications, with a 15-minute chronograph counter
The civilian-style 2067 places a 15-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6, running seconds at 9 and a date window around 4:30. The military-inspired 2057 instead uses a 30-minute counter and a 60-second counter. Flyback timing in one operation
A flyback chronograph lets the wearer reset a running timing sequence and start a new one with a single pusher operation, rather than stopping, resetting and restarting separately. Breguet explains: “Prior to its creation, three operations were required instead of just one.” The statement refers to the flyback function. The brand describes Calibre 728 as using a column wheel, vertical clutch and silicon balance spring; these are manufacturer descriptions, not independent performance findings.

These published dimensions and specifications do not establish how the watch wears, how accurate a particular example is, or how it performs in varied conditions. Those questions require evidence from actual wear or testing.
Straps and fit
Breguet lists calfskin and NATO straps for the steel model. The collection page describes a tool-free release for its leather strap and says the NATO strap passes beneath the case. The stated 21 mm lug width makes a 21 mm NATO strap a plausible alternative, but width alone does not guarantee fit: check the attachment arrangement and clearance before buying an aftermarket strap. The cited information does not establish that generic straps work with Breguet’s leather quick-release interface.

Historical context: civilian Type XX and military Type 20
Swatch Group’s 2023 archive says Breguet delivered 1,100 military Type 20 watches to the French Air Force between 1955 and 1959, following an order in 1954. It also connects the 2067 to civilian Type XX models, including a 1957 watch bearing individual number 2988. That history explains the modern watch’s lineage, but it does not make the 2067 a reissued military watch.
