The Bremont ALT1-P2 Jet pairs a black pilot-watch dial with a DLC-treated steel case barrel and a chronograph Bremont says can time up to 12 hours. It is a retired model, so the main ownership questions are how its 30-minute counter relates to that longer timing capability, how to use its controls, and what to check before buying one pre-owned.
What the ALT1-P2 Jet is—and its retired status
Bremont describes the ALT1-P2 Jet as a version of its ALT1-P pilot’s watch, distinguished by a black dial, a hardened DLC-treated case barrel and the brand’s “51 lume.” Bremont’s product page says the model has officially retired from its catalogue. That means the page is useful for specifications, but it is not evidence of a current offer or available stock. Bremont displayed an Australian regular price of A$7,850 on that page; this is a regional page-listed figure, not a confirmed current price. Bremont ALT1-P2 Jet product page.
Bremont’s phrase for the watch is: “The ALT1-P2 JET takes a classic pilot’s watch into a new age of aviation.” That is brand-authored positioning, not an independent performance assessment.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or test results. The 43 mm diameter and 16 mm thickness are useful dimensions to compare with a watch you already wear; they do not establish how the watch will feel on a particular wrist. Bremont product specification.

How long can the chronograph measure?
The dial’s 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock is not the same as the chronograph’s total elapsed-time limit. Bremont’s ALT1-P2 technical notes say the chronograph can measure up to 12 hours in hours, minutes and seconds, and its general FAQ also places the P2 range in the 12-hour category. The product page names the 30-minute counter as a dial component. Read together, the materials distinguish the visible 30-minute register from the watch’s longer elapsed-time capability; they do not say the chronograph stops after 30 minutes. Winding and setting the ALT1-P2
Bremont’s technical notes describe manual winding and date-setting guidance. The company also provides an official video tutorial covering time and date setting and chronograph use.

- Wind manually if needed: With the crown in position I, turn it to wind. Bremont recommends 30–40 crown revolutions for a full wind and its stated maximum power reserve.
- Change the date: Use the rapid date-change button at 10 o’clock with the watch tool supplied for the watch.
- Set the time with the date in mind: Bremont warns that the date changes at midnight. If the date change has occurred at noon, move the hands forward by 12 hours to correct the indication.
- Finish: Push the crown back in after setting. For a visual walkthrough, follow Bremont’s ALT1-P2 tutorial.
Follow the instructions for the specific watch in hand, particularly if its tool is missing or its controls behave differently from the tutorial.
What strap fits?
Bremont lists a 22 mm lug width, so a 22 mm strap is the starting size to investigate. Lug width alone does not guarantee that a replacement strap’s end shape or buckle will fit correctly. Check the watch’s actual lug spacing and the strap’s dimensions, attachment and buckle compatibility before ordering; Bremont’s published specification does not establish third-party strap fit. Service, warranty and buying pre-owned
Bremont recommends that its timepieces be serviced by a certified Bremont watchmaker every 3–5 years. The brand says a complete service includes a two-year warranty. For a retired watch, service history and the availability of the correct parts and service route are sensible items to confirm directly with Bremont or a certified watchmaker before purchase. Bremont’s general warranty FAQ says its standard international warranty covers manufacturing defects for three years from original purchase for watches bought directly or through an authorized retailer, subject to the stated conditions. The ALT1-P2 Jet page also advertises “Up to 5 year extended warranty.” Those statements do not establish that a particular secondhand watch remains covered: eligibility, purchase date, region and extension terms matter. For a pre-owned example, verify its condition, service documentation, included watch tool and warranty paperwork with the seller; ask Bremont or a certified watchmaker about service options for that specific watch.
