The clearest distinction is practical: the 300m models pair a 40mm steel case with a 50-hour power reserve, while the 500m adds a ceramic bezel insert, helium escape valve and 56-hour reserve. Those are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent evidence of dive performance.
What changed in the Supermarine range?
Bremont says it entirely redesigned the Supermarine 300m and 300m Date for 2024. The company describes a slimmer, 40mm 904L steel case with a more symmetrical silhouette and guards around the crown and bezel. Bremont’s collection page describes the range as “designed for life below and above the waves”; that is the brand’s positioning, not an independently verified performance assessment.

Supermarine 300m vs. 500m: listed specifications
| Feature | Supermarine 300m and 300m Date | Supermarine 500m |
|---|---|---|
| Stated water resistance | 300m | 500m |
| Case | 40mm, 904L steel | 904L steel; diameter not stated on the cited product page |
| Movement and power reserve | Automatic; 50 hours | BB64AH automatic; 56 hours |
| Bezel and valve | Unidirectional rotating bezel; helium escape valve not listed in the cited specifications | Ceramic unidirectional bezel and automatic helium escape valve |
| Crystal and straps | Anti-reflective sapphire crystal; bracelet, rubber or leather options | Bracelet, rubber or NATO configurations; crystal detail not stated on the cited product page |
These are the specifications Bremont lists for the respective collections and product page. A stated water-resistance rating alone does not certify a watch for a particular dive, and the available product information does not establish independent test results.
#1 Best Overall
- BE-92AE automatic chronometer with 38-hour power reserve
- 40mm stainless steel Trip-Tick case construction
- Blue Temple Island rubber strap
What the 300m models offer
The 300m and 300m Date share the listed core specification: automatic movement, 50-hour power reserve, unidirectional rotating bezel, 300m water resistance and anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Bremont lists bracelet, rubber and leather strap options. Their 40mm 904L steel case is part of the 2024 redesign.
The Date model adds a date display; the available specifications do not establish other differences between the 300m and 300m Date. Buyers choosing between configurations should check the exact reference, since strap and bracelet options vary.
Rank #2
- BE-92AE automatic chronometer with 38-hour power reserve
- 40mm stainless steel Trip-Tick case construction
- Stainless steel bracelet
What changes on the 500m?
Bremont lists 500m water resistance, a ceramic unidirectional bezel, an automatic helium escape valve and its BB64AH automatic movement with a 56-hour power reserve. Bracelet, rubber and NATO strap configurations are offered. The cited product page does not state a case diameter, so it should not be assumed to match the 300m’s 40mm case.
The higher stated resistance and helium escape valve make the 500m the more specialized specification on paper. They do not, by themselves, establish how a watch performs in real-world diving or whether it is appropriate for a particular dive plan.
Rank #3
- chronometer with 38-hour power reserve
Where Full Ceramic fits
The Supermarine Full Ceramic Deep Blue is identified by Bremont as a Full Ceramic variant and a limited edition of 250 pieces. That figure is the manufacturer’s stated edition size, not an indication of current stock. The available product information does not provide enough comparable movement, diameter or water-resistance details to place it alongside the 300m and 500m in a full specification comparison.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which Supermarine makes sense?
- Choose a 300m configuration if: the 40mm case and listed 300m rating fit your priorities, and you want a choice of bracelet, rubber or leather.
- Consider the 500m if: you specifically value its higher stated rating, ceramic bezel, helium escape valve or longer listed reserve, and prefer bracelet, rubber or NATO options.
- Look at Full Ceramic if: the material and limited-edition status are central to your choice; confirm the exact reference’s complete specifications and availability before deciding.
For any model, verify the reference and configuration with the seller, and rely on appropriate dive equipment and training rather than a watch’s rating alone when planning a dive.
