The Moriarty Laguna is a vivid, tailor-made enamel watch rather than a standard production model or limited edition. Its appeal is the Iridescence dial: a layered enamel surface with suspended particles that shimmer in strong light, paired here with hot-pink markers and a purple strap. Oracle Time’s 2026 review reports a 37mm or 40mm steel case, an automatic Sellita movement and a starting price of €4,250 before taxes and shipping; those commercial terms should be confirmed with Moriarty before ordering.
What is the Moriarty Laguna?
Laguna is a unique showpiece made for a client, not a numbered limited edition or a regular model in a continuing collection, according to Oracle Time. Moriarty Watches describes its work as tailored to personal preferences and identifies Laguna as an Iridescence example crafted for a client. That makes the watch best understood as an illustration of the maker’s custom-watch approach, not a promise that every pictured detail is routinely available.

The particular Laguna reviewed combines a pale tropical-blue dial, hot-pink cardinal markers, slim indexes, skeletonised lance hands and a purple python strap. The result is intentionally expressive; the dial and strap colors make it a statement piece rather than a discreet everyday dress watch.
What makes the Iridescence dial distinctive?
Oracle Time reviewer Sam Kessler describes the dial as flat opaque enamel with a fine, crystalline-looking shimmer—not a stone dial. The review says iridescent particles are suspended in the enamel, which is built up in layers, sanded between stages and fired at about 800°C over roughly 40 hours. Those details are the maker’s process as reported by the reviewer, not a separately verified production test.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Moriarty says the particles shimmer especially in full sunshine. The brand also says Alison Moriarty developed the Iridescence technique over two years in response to clients seeking something distinctive. In practical terms, the effect is subtle rather than a textured stone pattern: the color remains the visual foundation, with the particles adding a changing glint as the light shifts.
Case sizes, movement and everyday suitability
Choosing between 37mm and 40mm
Oracle Time reports stainless-steel case options of 37mm and 40mm. The review gives thickness as 11.25mm in its main text and rounds it to 11mm in its specifications. The reviewer, whose wrist measures 17cm, preferred the 37mm; he noted that the 40mm leaves more room for the enamel to dominate. That is one wearer’s preference, not a universal fit rule: the smaller case offers a more restrained time-only proportion, while the larger one gives the dial greater wrist presence.

Movement and functions
The review identifies a premium-grade automatic Sellita SW300-1B, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a stated 56-hour power reserve. Its functions are hours, minutes and seconds. The reviewer notes Côtes de Genève decoration, perlage and a rose-gold rotor.
Water resistance and wearing context
Oracle Time reports 30 metres of water resistance. That specification does not make the Laguna a swimming watch; it is more naturally treated as a dress-oriented, time-only piece and kept away from water exposure beyond what the maker explicitly permits.

Customization, price and ordering questions
The reviewed Laguna shows one possible palette, not a standardized configuration menu. Oracle Time says a buyer could request the same colors or explore warmer or cooler palettes, while Moriarty’s site describes a tailored process. Neither source establishes that every color combination is available, that customizations carry no extra cost, or that a particular configuration can be ordered immediately.
Oracle Time’s article, dated 9 October 2026, reported an Iridescence starting price of €4,250, excluding taxes and shipping, and an estimated delivery time of about six months for a custom dial. These are review-era figures, not guaranteed current terms. Moriarty’s official site is the appropriate place to make an inquiry; ask the maker to confirm the current price, applicable taxes and shipping, deposit, warranty, queue and delivery estimate before committing.

Is the Moriarty Laguna worth considering?
The Laguna makes the most sense for someone who values hand-crafted enamel and wants a watch with unusually assertive color. Its key distinction is not a new movement complication or a conventional production run; it is the chance to commission an individually tailored Iridescence dial. The compact case option and time-only display keep the design focused, but the palette will not suit buyers seeking a low-key watch.

If the purple strap is more vivid than your preferred styling, Oracle Time suggests dark blue calfskin as a calmer alternative. Treat that as a color idea only: the sources do not establish lug width or attachment details, so confirm fit with Moriarty before buying another leather watch strap.
