The Bremont Supermarine S501 has officially retired from Bremont’s catalogue, so buyers will need to check current retailer stock or the pre-owned market. Bremont’s published technical notes confirm that the S501 shows the date only, but the available official material does not provide a complete, model-specific specification sheet.
Is the Bremont Supermarine S501 discontinued?
Yes. Bremont’s Australian product listing labels the S501 “No Longer Available” and says, “This S501 has officially retired from the Bremont catalogue.” Bremont’s S501 listing establishes that it has left the catalogue; it does not establish that every retailer has sold through its stock.
The Australian-dollar price displayed on that historic listing is not a current price or a reliable guide to the S501’s pre-owned value. Ask sellers for the exact reference and configuration, and assess the watch itself rather than using that figure as a benchmark.
What specifications does Bremont confirm?
Bremont’s technical notes place the S501 within documentation for the Supermarine S500/S2000 family and explicitly state that S501 models show the date only. The excerpt also describes the family as automatic, but does not provide a complete, separately itemized S501 specification table. Bremont’s Supermarine technical notes

Do not assume specifications listed for an S500 or S2000 also apply to an S501. The available S501-specific material here does not establish its case dimensions, depth rating, power reserve or other detailed specifications; confirm those against documentation for the exact watch before relying on them.
What strap size does the S501 take?
Bremont’s general strap FAQ says that 22 mm straps fit 43 mm and 45 mm cases. That guidance is not, by itself, confirmation of the lug width or strap-end fit on an individual S501. Check the particular watch’s lug width and the shape of the strap ends before ordering. Bremont’s strap FAQ

- BE-92AE automatic chronometer with 38-hour power reserve
- 40mm stainless steel Trip-Tick case construction
- Stainless steel bracelet
Bremont describes changing a strap by using the forked end of a watch tool to lever a spring bar out of the lug, then refitting the bar carefully. Work slowly and protect the case and lugs from slips that could scratch or damage them. If you are unsure, have a watchmaker change the strap.
How often should a Bremont watch be serviced?
Bremont advises a full service by an authorized service centre every 3 to 5 years for its mechanical timepieces. The interval is general brand guidance, not a service record or condition assessment for a particular S501. Bremont also says non-authorized service work can invalidate warranty coverage; confirm the applicable terms with Bremont for the watch and region in question. Bremont’s service and warranty FAQ
