Bulgari’s 29 August 2024 video, Bvlgari Octo Chiming Watches | Lorenzo Viotti, focuses on two limited-edition Octo Roma watches developed with conductor and Bulgari ambassador Lorenzo Viotti: the Grande Sonnerie Tourbillon and the Carillon Tourbillon. The key difference is their striking systems: the titanium Grande Sonnerie can play grande and petite sonnerie as well as a minute repeater, while the rose-gold Carillon is a three-hammer minute repeater. Bulgari’s wider Geneva Watch Days presentation also included a carbon Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater.
Which watches appear in Bulgari’s 2024 video?
The official video description identifies two limited-edition Octo Roma creations made in collaboration with Lorenzo Viotti: the Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie Tourbillon, reference 103962, and the Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon, reference 103933. Bulgari introduced them as part of Geneva Watch Days 2024. Its event recap describes a broader presentation of six creations, including two Octo Roma and one Octo Finissimo chiming watch.
Bulgari’s video description calls the two pieces “A delight for watch and music lovers alike, two limited edition timepieces are revealed for this year’s edition of Geneva Watch Days.” That is the brand’s description, not a quotation from Viotti.
How the two Octo Roma striking systems differ
Both Octo Roma models combine a tourbillon with a minute repeater, but their additional striking functions and hammer arrangements are different. Bulgari’s published specifications distinguish them as follows:

Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie Tourbillon: ref. 103962
The Grande Sonnerie is the more elaborate of the two Octo Roma striking configurations. Its grande and petite sonnerie functions sound the time at intervals, while the minute repeater can be activated on demand. Bulgari lists four hammers and calibre BVV800, a hand-wound movement operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The satin-polished titanium case measures 45 mm across and 11.85 mm thick. Bulgari also lists 30 m water resistance, indicators for the movement and striking-mechanism power reserves, and approximately 72 hours of reserve. Its 2024 release lists the price as “price on inquiry.”
Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon: ref. 103933
The Carillon Tourbillon pairs a minute repeater with a three-hammer carillon. Bulgari lists calibre BVL428, hand winding, a tourbillon, a power-reserve indicator, and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
Its satin-polished 18 kt rose-gold case measures 44 mm in diameter and 12.60 mm thick. The 2024 specification gives 30 m water resistance and an approximately 75-hour power reserve. Bulgari listed the price as “price on inquiry.”
The related Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater Carbon
The wider Geneva Watch Days chiming-watch presentation also included the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater Carbon, reference 103986. Unlike the two Octo Roma tourbillons, it is a slimmer carbon-cased minute repeater rather than a grande sonnerie or carillon model.
