The seconds hand’s frequent movement may look smoother than the once-per-second motion typical of many quartz watches, but that visual behavior is not itself a guarantee of greater real-world accuracy. A buyer comparing timing performance should look for a model-specific accuracy specification or independent measurement rather than infer one from the 262 kHz family figure.

Strap replaceability also should not be assumed from the strap material alone. The available listing does not confirm the lug attachment or width, so it cannot establish which replacement straps will fit.
Can you swim or dive with the 96B132?
Zales lists water resistance at 300 meters for model 96B132. That is a retailer claim; the exact-model rating was not independently confirmed here through Bulova technical documentation. Bulova’s official manuals page offers simplified and detailed manuals for the Precisionist family, but the page by itself does not establish the 96B132’s specific operating instructions or water-resistance specification.

Do not treat the retailer number alone as sufficient guidance for swimming or diving. Before using the watch in water, confirm the rating and care requirements in documentation that applies specifically to 96B132, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions about crown and button operation and water exposure. If that model-specific guidance is unavailable, avoid relying on the watch for water activities.
Price, stock and warranty depend on the seller
When the cited Zales listing was crawled, it displayed a price of $599 and an out-of-stock status. Both price and availability can change, so check the live listing and compare the seller’s current terms before ordering. The same listing stated a three-year limited manufacturer warranty; confirm the warranty duration, exclusions and start date with the seller at purchase rather than treating a retailer page as a guarantee of current terms.

Verify that any listing you consider is for the exact reference 96B132 and the pictured configuration. A catalog reference also names the Champlain model 96B131, but that is not evidence that it shares the 96B132’s specifications. The catalog reference should not be used to fill gaps in the exact-model details.
