That lineage makes the 15202 the strongest pick here for someone who wants a 2000s Royal Oak connected to the original Jumbo idea. Royal Oak Concept: the experimental choice
Introduced in 2002, the Royal Oak Concept drew inspiration from radical concept cars. Its 44 mm case combined Alacrite and titanium and was topped by a titanium bezel, giving it a more overtly technical presence than a traditional Royal Oak profile. It is the clearest choice among these watches for a buyer who wants a large, unconventional design rather than a restrained heritage piece.
The cited 44 mm measurement is useful context, but case diameter alone does not establish how a watch will wear. Try the exact watch on if possible, and consider its shape and overall presence as well as its nominal size.

Royal Oak Offshore 25940SK: the sport-oriented chronograph
Audemars Piguet dates the 25940SK to 2001 and describes a 42 mm case, Méga Tapisserie dial, and rubber bezel and strap. Its rubber details and more assertive Offshore character make it a grounded option for buyers who want a sportier look than the Jumbo-style Royal Oak.
The brand’s historical account says the reference established itself as the collection’s new core. That is useful context for its place in Offshore history, but it does not establish the present-day scarcity, resale performance, or desirability of any particular example.

Other references and collections to consider
Royal Oak Offshore 25721ST and 25721TI
The 25721ST is an earlier Offshore reference that remained in the catalogue during part of the 2000s. Audemars Piguet Archives material documents dial variants in 2002 and 2004. AP Chronicles reports 969 units of the 25721ST in its 2006 year-by-year sales history; that is a historical production figure, not evidence of current scarcity or value.
The titanium 25721TI offers a material alternative. AP Chronicles gives its weight as 150 grams, compared with approximately 220 grams for the cited steel version, and describes it as a 42 mm model on a metal bracelet. Those figures are historical reference specifications; confirm the details for the exact watch under consideration.

Millenary and Edward Piguet
For buyers willing to look beyond the better-known Royal Oak and Offshore families, AP Chronicles notes that calibre 2140 appeared in Millenary watches from 1999 and in the Edward Piguet collection from the early 2000s. Its listed 2000s Royal Oak references using the calibre are 15077 and 15088 (2000), 15110 (2001), 77321 (2006), 77330 and 77331 (2008), and 77220 (2009). These references provide additional avenues to explore; the historical information does not establish a current recommendation or value ranking.

The same historical account reports 14,011 Offshore watches sold in 2010, compared with 8,081 Royal Oak watches.
