Possibly. A modified GA-110 can still show digital information and sound its alarms if the modification left the original electronic module, LCD connections, and alarm circuitry working. The answer depends on what was changed: an exterior alteration is different from work on the LCD or the watch’s electronics.
What determines whether the display and alarms still work?
The GA-110’s digital functions and alarms depend on its electronic module, LCD assembly, connections, and alarm circuitry. Casio’s official GA-110 series catalog lists five daily alarms, but that describes the model—not a modified example. Casio does not certify in the cited materials that an altered watch retains its original operation.

- Exterior-only change: If the module, display connections, and alarm components were left intact, the digital display and alarms may continue to work as designed.
- LCD or connection change: Work on the LCD assembly or its connections may affect readability or cause segments not to appear.
- Module or circuit change: If the electronic module or alarm circuitry was changed or damaged, normal display and alarm behavior cannot be assumed.
These are conditional possibilities, not a test result for any particular modified watch.

How to check the digital display and alarms
- Identify the module. Check the watch and its documentation before following button instructions. Casio’s GA-110-1AJF support page links to a guide and an alarm-setting tutorial. The cited operation guide covers modules 5146 and 5425; confirm that it matches your watch.
- Cycle through the normal modes. Check whether digital information and segments are visible in the modes you use. Missing or hard-to-read segments can point to a display or connection issue, though observation alone does not establish the cause.
- Open Alarm Mode. Check whether the alarm settings and indicators appear and respond. Use the operation guide’s setting and on/off instructions for your confirmed module.
- Test whether the alarm can be heard. Follow the guide’s alarm test procedure where applicable. A silent alarm does not, by itself, show whether the alarm is switched off or whether a modification has affected the watch.
The guide is available at Operation Guide 5146 5425. It is hosted by a third party, so verify the module before relying on its button-by-button directions.

What the standard GA-110 specifications do—and do not—tell you
Casio’s catalog lists five daily alarms, 200-meter water resistance, magnetic resistance, accuracy of ±15 seconds per month, and approximately three years of battery life for the GA-110 series. These are standard series specifications, not confirmation that a modified watch retains its original performance or water-resistance rating. In particular, the catalog cannot establish whether a specific alteration affected sealing or internal components.
When documentation is not enough
If the digital interface does not respond or the beeper cannot be heard, the guide explains expected controls but cannot diagnose whether a setting is disabled or the modification caused a fault. Ask the seller or repairer to identify the module and explain what components were changed; without those details, the watch’s condition cannot be determined from the model name alone.
