The steel Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Chronometer Celebration, reference 00.10804.08.33.21, pairs a 39 mm case and black lacquer dial with an automatic COSC-certified movement. This is a specification-led look at the watch, not a personal wear or timing-test report; the details below are specific to this reference.
What is the Heritage Chronometer Celebration?
Carl F. Bucherer describes the Heritage Chronometer Celebration as a modern revival of a watch from its 1960s archives. The company says the contemporary model first launched in 2023. The steel reference covered here is 00.10804.08.33.21, listed by the manufacturer as a limited edition of 188 pieces.
The design is deliberately restrained, according to the brand. Its black lacquer dial carries rhodium-plated index marks filled with black lacquer and Super-LumiNova, while the hands are beveled and the seconds hand has a bright red arrow at its tip. The dial also bears the inscription “Officially Certified Chronometer.” These are manufacturer descriptions, rather than independent assessments of the watch’s finish or legibility.

Movement, certification and practical implications
The CFB 1965 is an automatic movement with a listed 42-hour power reserve. COSC certification identifies the watch as a certified chronometer; the available product information does not provide an independent timing test or a wearer’s accuracy results. The dial’s “Officially Certified Chronometer” wording is an inscription, not a quotation from a named person.
The movement drives hours, minutes, seconds and a date display. Its listed dimensions are 26.20 mm across and 3.60 mm high. The case itself is 8.45 mm high, but published dimensions alone cannot establish how the watch sits on an individual wrist.

Archive inspiration, case back and strap history
Carl F. Bucherer says the design draws on a watch first launched in the 1960s and that the Heritage Chronometer Celebration itself debuted in 2023. In a press release dated April 25, 2024, the company described additional strap options for that year. That announcement records a 2024 update; it does not confirm which options are currently in stock or that unrelated third-party straps will fit.
The brand says the engraved crest on the case back includes a swan associated with Lucerne, a beech tree representing the Bucherer family, and the company’s 1888 founding date. The steel reference is supplied on a stainless-steel mesh bracelet with a quick-release system. The manufacturer’s published information does not state strap dimensions or establish compatibility with generic replacement straps.
