The Carl Suchy & Söhne Belvedere stands out for a date window that moves around the dial: the manufacturer says its position changes every 24 hours. That shifting display is the collection’s signature visual feature. The Belvedere is a family of watches, however, not one fixed specification; the figures below are for the Belvedere Day unless noted otherwise, and wearing observations are attributed to the reviewers who reported them.
What makes the Belvedere’s date display different?
Rather than keeping the date in a fixed aperture, the Belvedere uses a window that shifts position across the dial. Carl Suchy & Söhne describes the change as occurring every 24 hours. The moving window makes the date complication part of the watch’s overall design, not merely a small information display. The maker’s collection page presents the Belvedere as a sporty timepiece with this moving-date feature.

The reserve and water-resistance figures are product specifications, not independent test results. The strap’s 22 mm x 20 mm dimensions also do not by themselves establish that a generic replacement strap will fit the case’s end shape.

How does the Belvedere wear?
Published impressions vary by reference and reviewer, so they are useful context rather than a universal fit verdict. A Collective Horology article published September 21, 2025 describes a cushion-like case and discusses the Belvedere’s variants and date display; its author reports wearing the watch on a 6.75-inch / 17-cm wrist. That observation gives a concrete example, but it does not establish how the watch will fit every wrist.
A separate Watch Collecting Lifestyle review of the Belvedere Danube, published January 18, 2024, reports dimensions that differ from the later manufacturer listing for the Belvedere Day. Those figures refer to a different reference and should not be blended with the Day’s 40.8 mm diameter and 12.2 mm height. Check the exact reference’s current product page before using dimensions to judge fit.

Which Belvedere variants are available?
The collection includes differences in case material, dial color and accents. The maker’s collection page displays Belvedere Champagne at €8,900 and Belvedere Titan at €10,900. These are the prices displayed on that page in euros in the consulted listing; they are not confirmed as prices for the Belvedere Day, the Danube or every variant. Price, stock and the active reference lineup can change, so verify the exact watch and your market on the current collection page before buying.
For a meaningful comparison, match the specific reference first, then compare its case material, dial and accents, dimensions and listed price. A shared collection description is not a substitute for checking each product listing’s specifications.

What to check before choosing one
- Identify the reference. Confirm whether the listing is for the Day, Danube, Titan or another Belvedere variant.
- Check dimensions on that reference’s page. Do not transfer the Day’s measurements to another model or treat an older review’s figures as current maker specifications.
- Consider the moving date as a design choice. It is the collection’s defining display, so view the exact dial and date-window arrangement before deciding whether it suits your taste.
- Verify price and availability. The collection page’s displayed prices may not apply to the reference you want or remain current in your location.
- Confirm strap fit before ordering a replacement. The Day listing gives a 22 mm x 20 mm rubber strap with quick-release bars, but generic strap width alone does not guarantee compatible ends.
