What the ECB-2300HR commemorates
Honda’s RA272 won the final round of the 1965 Formula 1 season at the Mexican Grand Prix on October 24. Casio says the car was developed entirely by Honda, including its engine and chassis. The anniversary watch is Casio’s tribute to that first F1 victory. Casio’s international product page calls it a special-edition collaboration timepiece marking the 60th anniversary.

Model suffixes vary by market: Casio’s international page identifies the watch as ECB-2300HR-1A, while the Japan-market listing uses ECB-2300HR-1AJR. The suffix difference matters when checking local specifications or stock.
How the RA272 appears in the design
- Championship White bezel: The bezel ring uses authentic paint associated with the RA272, finished with a topcoat for an ivory tone and gloss. A gold-toned “60” is engraved at the 60-minute marker.
- Race-day colors: The red dial ring recalls the Hinomaru design painted on the car, with red-and-white cues carried through the dial.
- Tachometer-inspired subdial: The inset dial at 9 o’clock evokes the RA272’s tachometer, but on the watch it serves as a countdown timer.
- Engine detail: The long band is engraved with a blueprint of Honda’s 1.5-liter V12.
- Number and phrase: A gold-colored band loop carries the car number 11 and “Veni, Vidi, Vici.” Casio Canada attributes the phrase—translated on its page as “I came, I saw, I conquered”—to Honda team leader Yoshio Nakamura. Casio Canada’s product description provides that attribution.
- Caseback: The back is marked with a Honda-designed anniversary logo.

The construction combines carbon-fiber-reinforced resin and stainless steel, according to Casio Canada. Casio Japan lists the band as leather/synthetic leather. Those material and sizing details come from Casio’s regional product listings, rather than an independent materials assessment.
Casio Japan estimates seven months of operation after a full charge without additional solar exposure, or 18 months in power-save storage in darkness. These are manufacturer estimates, not independent test results. See the Japan product page for its market-specific specifications.

Japan price, release and availability
Casio Japan lists the ECB-2300HR-1AJR for release in March 2026 at a suggested retail price of ¥66,000 including tax. That is a Japan-market price, not a global price. The same product page says online-store sales have ended. Casio’s separate lottery-sale notice gives an application period of March 5–9, 2026, and states that the sale has ended.
Those notices establish that Casio’s listed Japan online and lottery-sale periods are over; they do not confirm whether independent retailers still have stock or whether the watch is available in other markets. Casio Philippines’ page, published March 9, 2025, described a regional preorder with estimated delivery at the end of March that year, so it is not a current stock indicator. Casio Philippines’ announcement is specific to that earlier preorder.
