The Casio G-SHOCK GMW-B5000GD-4 is a rose-gold ion-plated, full-metal digital square watch released in 2021—not a new 2026 debut. It combines solar charging, Bluetooth smartphone linking and Multi Band 6 radio time calibration with the GMW-B5000 series’ stainless-steel construction. Casio now labels it an “Old Model” on its international product page, but that alone does not establish that it is discontinued or unavailable everywhere.
What is the GMW-B5000GD-4?
The GMW-B5000GD-4 is a full-metal member of Casio’s G-SHOCK GMW-B5000 series. The series carries forward the square design of the original DW-5000C, which Casio identifies as its original 1983 G-SHOCK model, while adding metal construction and smartphone linking. On this variant, the case and band have rose-gold ion plating. Casio’s Japan-market model designation adds the suffix “JF”: GMW-B5000GD-4JF.
It is a digital watch with a stainless-steel case and bezel, solid stainless-steel band, one-touch three-fold clasp, screw-lock back and mineral glass. Its listed dimensions are 49.3 × 43.2 × 13 mm, and it weighs 167 g. Those figures make it a substantial watch; consider both the thickness and weight if you prefer a light or low-profile fit.

When did the GMW-B5000GD-4 come out?
Casio Japan lists March 2021 as the model’s release month. A Casio-issued U.S. announcement dated March 30, 2021 described it as a new addition to the premium Full Metal Series. The “debuts” framing therefore refers to its original launch, not a current announcement.
What did it cost at launch?
Casio Japan listed a manufacturer suggested retail price of ¥74,800 including tax. That is a Japan-specific 2021 list price, not a current quote or a price that can be applied to other markets. A present-day price was not established.
