The Casio G-Shock MR-G Goliath Frogman MRGBF1000RG3 is a titanium-cased, solar-powered dive watch with an ISO 200-meter water-resistance rating, dive-time measurement, surface-interval display and dive logs, according to Casio. Its khaki fluoro-rubber band and orange accents distinguish this Goliath frog-inspired version. Casio’s U.S. lineup uses MRGBF1000RG3 for the variant; regional reference formats differ. This is a specification-led overview, not a firsthand wear or dive test.
What is the MRGBF1000RG3?
Casio identifies MRGBF1000RG3 as the U.S. lineup reference for the MRG-BF1000RG, a Goliath Frogman colorway in the MR-G Frogman family. The Indonesian regional listing uses MRG-BF1000RG-3A, so confirm the market-specific reference when comparing listings or seeking parts. Casio’s U.S. product page and regional Indonesian product page show those formats.
Casio traces Frogman to 1993, describing it as the first G-SHOCK diver’s watch. The MR-G interpretation pairs the line’s identity with a titanium case and rubber strap, according to Casio’s MR-G Frogman series page.
Is the Goliath Frogman a titanium watch?
Casio describes the MRG-BF1000RG as having a titanium exterior and a Dura Soft band made from fluoro rubber. It also specifies a titanium screw-lock case back and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish independent material testing or how the watch feels on a particular wrist. Casio’s product description

The Goliath frog is the inspiration for the khaki band, while orange accents appear on the seconds and indicator hands. That combination gives this version a more distinctive look than a conventional all-black dive watch, though color preference is personal.

What are its dive functions?
Casio lists ISO 200-meter water resistance, dive-time measurement, surface-interval display and diving logs. Dive mode and tide-graph mode use a full-analog display, according to the manufacturer. These listed functions do not, by themselves, establish the watch’s measurement accuracy or suitability for a particular dive plan. Casio’s U.S. specifications
The CASIO WATCHES app’s feature list includes dive-log timelines with a dive date, time, dive count, location and images. Treat this as a described app feature rather than a guarantee about how well it fits an individual diver’s logging workflow. Casio’s product page

Is the MRGBF1000RG3 worth it?
It is most compelling for someone who wants an MR-G Frogman in titanium with a distinctive khaki-and-orange design and values analog dive timing, a surface-interval display, tide information and app-linked logs. Its solar power and combination of Bluetooth and Multiband 6 also broaden its everyday timekeeping features.
Whether it is worth buying depends on fit, budget and priorities. The manufacturer’s specifications cannot answer whether its size, band feel or interface will suit you, and there is no independent wear or dive assessment established here. Casio’s series page also lists the titanium-band MRG-BF1000B and the MRG-BF1000R, but current price and stock comparisons are not established. Casio’s MR-G Frogman lineup
