Is the band real leather?
No. Casio says the band is resin, with leather grain reproduced by inkjet printing. The printed texture and graduated brown tones create the appearance of aged leather while the band retains the feel of resin against the skin. Key resin components in the band use bio-based resin; Casio says it is made from renewable organic resources and is expected to help reduce environmental impact. That statement applies to key components, not the entire band, and Casio does not quantify the environmental effect.
What gives the watch its worn-in look?
The design combines silver, gold and brown hues. Casio gives the metal bezel, dial and band loop a hairline finish to create a deliberately scratched, lived-in appearance. Is it the same watch as the GM-S110BP-5A?
No. The GM-S110BP-5A is a separate beautiful people collaboration based on the GM-S110, not the octagonal GM-S2110BP-5A. Casio’s Middle East and Africa collaboration page describes that other model as having a multilayered brown dial and a light-yellow-gold ion-plated bezel.
