The Chanel Ring Watch “The Lion of Mademoiselle,” reference H10303, is a secret ring watch: a hinged lion’s head hides a tiny quartz watch dial. Time+Tide reported the piece in November 2025 as a five-piece edition, with a black-lacquered dial over onyx and an 18k yellow-gold, diamond-set design. Chanel’s official pages provide context for the lion motif, but the H10303 specifications below come from the watch-industry report.
What is the Chanel “Lion of Mademoiselle” ring watch?
H10303 combines a high-jewelry ring with a concealed time display. Its lion-head cover hinges back to reveal a reported 13.5 mm watch face. Time+Tide describes the design as drawing on the opulence of 1920s cocktail rings, with the sculpted lion functioning as both ornament and cover for the dial. Time+Tide’s November 25, 2025 report is the source for the model-specific details.
The design fits Chanel’s wider use of the lion. The brand’s official High Jewellery page calls the lion Mademoiselle’s favourite animal and a CHANEL High Jewellery emblem. That brand context does not, by itself, verify H10303’s technical specifications.

There is a count discrepancy in the same report: its summary says 357 diamonds, while its component counts—256 on the ring and 102 on the lion—add up to 358. Without a reliable resolution, neither figure should be treated as a confirmed total.
How the hidden watch works
Push the lion’s head back to uncover the dial, according to Time+Tide. The small face displays hours and minutes and is powered by a high-precision quartz movement. The cover makes the timepiece read first as a sculptural piece of jewelry; accessing the time requires opening the lion rather than reading an exposed dial at a glance.

How H10303 relates to Chanel’s other lion jewelry
Chanel’s Mademoiselle Privé Haute Horlogerie page also presents secret lion jewelry and separately lists a “MADEMOISELLE PRIVÉ BOUTON LION RING.” The consulted material does not establish that this separately listed ring is H10303. It should not be used as evidence for the ring watch’s movement, dimensions, materials, or diamond counts.
Time+Tide also notes that Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel was a Leo and connects the lion with brand motifs on buttons, bag clasps, and jewelry. The Leo detail is the report’s account; Chanel’s official High Jewellery page independently supports the broader significance of the lion motif, not that biographical detail.
