What is the CHANEL Monsieur Superleggera Intense Black Edition?
H6823 is a watch in CHANEL’s Monsieur de Chanel collection. CHANEL’s regional product page calls it the “Monsieur. Superleggera Edition Watch,” while specialist watch coverage uses the fuller name “Monsieur de Chanel Superleggera Intense Black Edition.” It is distinct from the Allure Homme Sport Superleggera fragrance, a separate product. The Monsieur collection dates to 2016, according to Motor Sport Magazine. The Superleggera treatment followed in 2021; the Intense Black edition was presented during the 2024 Watches & Wonders Geneva period.
How the display and movement work
Rather than using conventional central hands for all the time indications, the dial divides them into three displays:

What distinguishes the Intense Black edition?
Specialist reports describe the 2024 version as a darker treatment of the 2021 Monsieur Superleggera. Several red details give way to gold or yellow accents, including the Superleggera dial script and an indicator at 6 o’clock. The jumping-hour, retrograde-minute and small-seconds arrangement, along with the movement, is described as carried over from the earlier model. “Superleggera” gives the watch’s design a motoring association. The H6823 is most notable for its unconventional time display and highly specific black-and-gold styling. It is a considered choice for someone drawn to mechanical watchmaking, jumping hours and retrograde minutes, rather than a conventional three-hand layout. The reported 100-piece run and market-dependent pricing also mean prospective buyers should verify the edition, condition, provenance and current terms with CHANEL or a reputable specialist before purchasing. No conclusion about resale performance follows from the limited production figure alone.
