The headline blends two different Citizen Disney watches. Citizen’s NYC watch, model AW1860-01W “Mickey Mouse & Pluto Take NYC,” shows Mickey and Pluto in a nighttime city. The Sorcerer Mickey watch is a separate product, sold through the Disney Store as “Sorcerer Mickey Mouse Watch by Citizen – Fantasia” (item 013205174445), and its dial shows Mickey as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The official listings from Citizen and the Disney Store do not show a single watch with Sorcerer Mickey over a skyline, so the two should be treated as separate models.
The NYC skyline watch: AW1860-01W
Citizen’s official U.S. listing for AW1860-01W describes it as the third watch in a four-piece travel-themed series. The dial carries original artwork by Disney artists John and Shelly Loter, showing Mickey Mouse and Pluto in a nighttime New York cityscape. The case is silver-tone stainless steel, 40 mm across, and the black leather strap is lined in yellow. Citizen describes the movement as Eco-Drive, which it says is powered by light and never needs a battery.
The Sorcerer Mickey watch: Fantasia
The Disney Store lists this watch as inspired by the Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment of Fantasia (1940). Its dial shows Mickey as the apprentice, in black with the character as the focal point. The case is 40 mm, with a stainless-steel bracelet in a silver and gold-tone finish. The product page names a J830 base movement, Eco-Drive power, a three-hand display and 30 m water resistance. The item number is 013205174445, which is the most reliable way to confirm you are looking at this model and not the NYC watch.

Where the Disney partnership fits
Citizen’s corporate announcement dated March 23, 2017 said Citizen would become the official timepiece of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, and that the parks would offer Citizen watches with designs unique to Disney Parks. The announcement also included this statement from Carlos Castro, Disney vice president of Corporate Alliances: “Disney is honored to align with Citizen, a stalwart brand that has stood the test of time.” That statement describes the partnership in general, not either watch.

- Take a voyage back in time: In 1928, a star was born when Walt Disney Studios released an animated short film featuring a lovable character known worldwide as Disney’s Mickey Mouse.
- Now, the Disney | Citizen Steamboat Willie 1928 watch pays homage to that cinematic milestone with a vintage-inspired black-and-white illustration by Disney artist Jeff Shelly showcasing the character setting off the boat’s whistle on a silver-tone dial with rose gold-tone accents.
- Citizen first produced this watch as part of Walt Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2023, and this new version is refreshed with an embossed brown leather strap.
- It is sustainably powered by any light with our Eco-Drive technology and never needs a battery. Disney
- 30M Water Resistant and 5 Year Limited Warranty
The 2017 date establishes that the collaboration is long-running. It does not establish that either watch is a 2026 release. Neither official product page cited here gives a launch date, so “new” should not be read into the headline for these specific models.

- Choose the NYC watch if you want a city scene with both Mickey and Pluto, a leather strap, and a more travel-oriented design.
- Choose the Sorcerer Mickey watch if you want the Fantasia character, a metal bracelet, and the published water resistance and movement details.
- Check the item number or model number before buying, since the two watches are sold through different channels and similar Disney names can cause confusion.
- Verify price and stock on the seller’s page at the time of purchase, because the figures above are snapshots.
