These are the specifications published on Citizen Thailand’s NY0080-12E page. The listing calls the crystal “crystal glass,” not sapphire, and does not state the strap’s width or replacement compatibility.
What makes the bezel distinctive?
In his 24 August 2019 review for Time+Tide, Sean Ding describes the bezel edge as alternating between spiked and smooth sections. It gives the watch a more tactile, visually assertive character than a uniformly edged bezel. Whether that detail is appealing is a matter of taste; Ding presents the NY0080-12E as a design that may be an acquired taste rather than a universal crowd-pleaser.

How does a diver’s bezel help track time?
Citizen’s general explanation of diver’s watches describes setting a rotating bezel to a target time and reading elapsed time against its markings. A bezel designed to turn only anti-clockwise is intended to reduce the risk that an accidental movement makes the elapsed time appear shorter than it really is. This explains the function of a unidirectional diver’s bezel in general; it does not, by itself, verify the NY0080-12E’s precise bezel mechanism.

Citizen says it reserves the term “diver’s watch” for ISO-conforming models on its general diver’s watches page. The NY0080-12E product page does not explicitly state that this reference is certified to ISO 6425, so the brand-wide statement should not be read as model-specific confirmation.

Citizen UK’s newer Promaster Dive Automatic family is useful as a point of comparison, but it is not a like-for-like specification update to the NY0080-12E. Citizen describes that family as based on the NY004 series and lists a 44 mm case, sapphire crystal, 120-click unidirectional bezel and Calibre 8204, with about 42 hours of power reserve.
