The Citizen Tsuyosa NJ0150-56A and Casio Edifice EFK-100YD-7AJF are automatic, date-equipped watches with sapphire crystals and steel bracelets, but they make different trade-offs. The Tsuyosa lists a 40 mm case and 42-hour power reserve; the cited EFK-100 is 39 mm wide, measures 43.5 mm long and 12.5 mm thick, and has approximately 40 hours of reserve. Their water-resistance ratings also differ: 50 m for the Citizen and 10 bar for the Casio. Which is the better fit depends on the exact variant, your wrist and intended use—not a universal winner.

Which case is likely to suit your wrist?
Citizen: a 40 mm case
Citizen lists the NJ0150-56A as a 40 mm case. That gives a useful width reference, but the listed figure alone does not establish how the watch will sit on a particular wrist; the cited product facts do not provide a comparable full set of case dimensions.

Casio: 39 mm wide, but 43.5 mm long
The EFK-100YD-7AJF measures 43.5 mm long, 39 mm wide and 12.5 mm thick, and weighs 148 g. Its narrower width does not tell the whole fit story: length and thickness also affect how a watch wears. If possible, try it on or compare those measurements with a watch you already find comfortable.
Movement, winding and reserve
The Tsuyosa NJ0150-56A uses Citizen’s automatic Caliber 8210 and has a stated 42-hour power reserve. Casio lists the EFK-100YD-7AJF as an automatic watch with manual winding and an approximately 40-hour reserve. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not a direct performance test. Casio also lists a daily rate of -35 to +45 seconds; the cited Citizen product-page facts do not give a comparable accuracy figure.

- 3 Hand with Date, Automatic, 42 Hour Power Reserve
- Sapphire Crystal
- 50M Water Resistant and 5 Year Limited Warranty
Water resistance: 50 m versus 10 bar
Citizen rates this Tsuyosa reference at 50 m (5 bar) and describes the rating as suitable for swimming in still water. Casio lists 10 bar for the cited EFK-100. Neither rating makes these watches dive watches, and water resistance is not a guarantee against damage in every circumstance. Follow the manufacturers’ guidance for your model and do not operate the crown underwater.
Crystal, date and design differences
Both cited references have sapphire crystals and date displays, along with steel bracelets. The Tsuyosa listing specifies a three-hand display; Casio lists a hacking function for the EFK-100YD-7AJF. The watches differ in case shape, dial design and bracelet details, so photographs and listings should be checked against the exact reference rather than treated as representative of every Tsuyosa or EFK-100.

Which automatic watch should you buy?
Choose the Tsuyosa if its specifications and style fit you
- You prefer the NJ0150-56A’s 40 mm case and white-dial design.
- You value its listed 42-hour reserve and 50 m water-resistance rating.
Choose the EFK-100 if its features and variants appeal more
- You prefer the cited model’s 39 mm width, while taking its 43.5 mm length and 12.5 mm thickness into account.
- You want the listed manual-winding capability, approximately 40-hour reserve and 10-bar rating.
- You are choosing among the broader EFK-100 family’s dial and material variants.
Before deciding, compare the exact reference, case fit, bracelet fit, dial and current price in your region. The specifications help narrow the choice; they do not establish which watch is more comfortable or better in everyday use.
