Those are manufacturer plans, not confirmation that either watch is already available in every market or that local pricing will match.
What Citizen announced
The watches mark 50 years of Eco-Drive, Citizen’s light-powered watch technology. The company says it launched the world’s first light-powered analogue watch in 1976. Its September 9, 2026 global announcement names the models, planned launch timing and projected price, while cautioning that availability, specifications and product codes can vary by market. See Citizen’s official announcement for the global details.
| Model | Design name | Scheduled launch | Projected price | Worldwide edition size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CC4084-83Z | Power of Green Flash | October 2026, according to Citizen | USD 2,515, projected by Citizen | 1,500 pieces |
| CC4085-81Z | Power of Purple Aurora | October 2026, according to Citizen | USD 2,515, projected by Citizen | 1,500 pieces |
Citizen has not established in this global release which countries will receive the watches or whether local retailers have stock. Check the relevant national Citizen site or an authorized local retailer for market-specific release information and final pricing.
How the green and purple models differ
CC4084-83Z Power of Green Flash
Citizen takes its cue from the brief green flash sometimes seen as the sun sets. Beneath a printed black dial layer, green structural-colour film creates the dial effect; a dark-green sapphire ring frames the bezel. Gold-coloured indices and date-window framing add contrast.
#1 Best Overall
- Iconic Promaster watches with advanced functions designed to venture to the deepest depths.
- An Eco-Friendly Evolution: Citizen launches first Titanium Watch in 1970. More than 50-year-old evolution of innovative timepieces crafted from proprietary space-age material.
- Benefits of Super Titanium: Lightweight for Better Comfort, Scratch Resistant, Gentle on Skin, and Rust Resistant. Five times harder and 40% lighter than stainless steel.
- Luminous Hands and Markers and Mineral Crystal
- 200 Meters Water Resistant and 5 Year Limited Warranty, ISO Compliant
CC4085-81Z Power of Purple Aurora
The Purple Aurora uses raised printing on a black dial, with structural-colour film in the subdials producing purple and blue hues. Its sapphire bezel ring shifts from purple to blue, and the accents are pink-gold coloured.
The distinction is principally one of colour treatment and inspiration: green flash with gold-coloured details on CC4084-83Z, versus purple-and-blue aurora effects with pink-gold details on CC4085-81Z. Citizen also says selected dial components use recycled materials; that statement does not mean the entire watch is made from recycled material.

The five-year figure is specifically for a full charge in power-save mode, not a general estimate of ordinary daily running time. Likewise, the ±5 seconds per month figure applies without time-signal reception; the announcement does not present it as an independent measurement.

Release timing, price and regional availability
October 2026 is a scheduled launch, and USD 2,515 is a projected price per model in Citizen’s global announcement. Neither figure guarantees a particular country’s release date, retailer inventory or final local price. Citizen explicitly notes that availability, specifications and product codes may differ by market, so the model names and details should be checked against local listings.
For a buyer comparing the two, the announced movement and principal case specifications are shared; the meaningful stated differences are the dial and bezel colours, design inspiration and accent colour. Regional stock and pricing need local confirmation.
