What is the Credor GBCF999?
GBCF999 is the model number of Credor’s Goldfeather Tourbillon Limited Edition, and Credor described it as the first Goldfeather watch to use a tourbillon. The company announced it on July 24, 2025, with October 24, 2025 set as the planned Japanese launch date. The edition is limited to ten watches worldwide, including an announced allocation of seven for Japan. Credor’s English announcement and its Japanese announcement provide the launch details.
The Goldfeather name is associated here with a design brief of thinness, lightness, smoothness, elegance and grace. That is Credor’s description of the collection’s intent, not a claim based on independent wear testing.
How do the dial and movement use Japanese decorative craft?
A skyward bird on the dial
The dial depicts a bird rising from the tourbillon carriage at nine o’clock toward the Credor logo at twelve. Urushi artisan Isshu Tamura carried out the dial work, according to Credor. The decoration brings together several techniques: raden, or mother-of-pearl inlay; kirikane, the application of finely cut gold-plate pieces; and maki-e, in which gold powder is applied to lacquer. Credor also describes the lettering as raised maki-e.

Bird-themed finishing behind the dial
A sapphire case back reveals a movement decorated to echo the dial’s bird and feather imagery. Credor says the finishing combines engraving, raden and maki-e; the English release specifies that engraved grooves create depth within 0.15 mm. The tourbillon bridge itself is shaped like a bird with outstretched wings. These are descriptions of the manufacturer’s design and finishing, not an independent craftsmanship evaluation.
Caliber 6850: dimensions, reserve and stated accuracy
The GBCF999 uses manual-winding Caliber 6850. Credor identifies it as the successor to Caliber 6830, introduced in 2016. The 6850 retains the earlier caliber’s stated dimensions while using an enlarged mainspring barrel to provide a 60-hour power reserve. Master watchmaker Katsuo Saito is credited with assembly; the Japanese announcement says skilled watchmakers handle assembly, adjustment and casing of Goldfeather movements.

The two releases use different English renderings for the crystal shape. Their wording alone does not establish that the terms are technically identical. The 3-bar rating is the published specification, not an independent real-world water-resistance test.

How much does the Credor Goldfeather tourbillon cost?
In its July 24, 2025 launch announcement, Seiko Watch Corporation listed a Japanese suggested retail price of ¥25,300,000 including Japanese tax. Credor’s English release listed a European recommended retail price of €190,000. The prices are tied to different markets and the announcement date; they should not be treated as directly equivalent or as current asking prices. Credor said the English release’s specifications and price information were as of publication and subject to change.
The announcements do not establish present-day inventory, current retail offers, or secondary-market value. With only ten pieces announced worldwide, availability is particularly time-sensitive; a prospective buyer would need to confirm it directly with an authorized Credor retailer or specialist dealer.
