What makes the Malachite edition distinct?
This is not the steel Classic Moonphase Date with a green sunburst dial. The FC-716MA3H8 pairs a polished 18-carat white-gold case with a green malachite dial, giving it a materially different appearance and placing it apart from the regular steel collection. Monochrome Watches identified the model and its specifications in 2024: its model report.
Malachite is a patterned stone, so the dial’s green appearance is not the same sunburst finish used on the current steel collection’s green option. Frédérique Constant describes that broader steel range with silver, blue or green sunburst dials and the FC-716 movement; those models should not be mistaken for this stone-dial, white-gold limited edition. The manufacturer’s Classics collection is the reference for the current collection, not a confirmation that the special edition remains available.
Case, dial and indications
The case measures 40 mm across and 12.4 mm thick. Published specifications list a convex, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a sapphire exhibition back and water resistance of 30 m. That rating is a specification, not a recommendation for swimming.

The dial is green malachite, with silver-coloured applied diamond-cut indices, silver-coloured hands and a white railway minute track. Hours, minutes and seconds are displayed centrally. At six o’clock, a single subdial combines the moonphase with a pointer-date indication.
FC-716 movement and power reserve
The watch uses Frédérique Constant’s automatic FC-716 calibre, with 26 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Its stated power reserve is 72 hours. Monochrome reports fan-shaped Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges; the sapphire back makes the movement visible. The brand also lists a 72-hour reserve for the FC-716 in its Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture range, though that collection page describes steel models rather than confirming this limited edition’s current status.
