What makes the EZM 13.1’s chronograph different?
Sinn calls the EZM 13.1 “The diving chronograph with 60-minute stopwatch display.” Its SZ02 movement drives a central chronograph seconds hand and a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock. Sinn contrasts this with the generally customary 30-minute counter and says the layout makes elapsed minutes quick and intuitive to read. The display also includes small seconds and a date. The 60-minute counter is the defining practical distinction: it lets the wearer read a full hour of chronograph minutes on one register rather than relying on a shorter minute scale.

How deep can the Sinn EZM 13.1 go?
Sinn’s model sheet says DNV verifies and certifies pressure resistance to a diving depth of 500 m (50 bar), as well as temperature resistance and function based on EN250 and EN14143, the European standards for diving equipment. This is Sinn’s published description of the certification; it should not be read as an independent verification here or as a recommendation to dive to 500 m. Why are the crown and push-pieces on the left?
The crown and chronograph push-pieces are placed on the left side of the case. Sinn says the arrangement is intended to prevent the controls from pressing against the back of the hand. The watch also has a captive diver’s bezel with minute ratcheting. These choices define its control layout; whether they suit a particular wrist or wearing style depends on the wearer.
