Verdict: The original Crossbeats Ignite S3 is a conditional buy only at clearance pricing. It offers a large 1.7-inch display, Bluetooth calling and basic activity tracking, but its availability is inconsistent, key specifications conflict across listings, and it lacks built-in GPS. Consider it only if you confirm the exact model, a valid warranty and a working return option; at more than ₹2,000, newer watches are generally better value.
Is the Crossbeats Ignite S3 still available?
Availability is unclear rather than reliably current. Smartprix lists the original Ignite S3 as out of stock and records ₹2,129 as its price, with the last price change dated November 11, 2024. JioMart has a product listing, but a listing alone does not confirm live stock. Crossbeats’ current store emphasizes newer models, and some pages make the original S3 easy to confuse with the S3 Max.
Before paying, check the name printed on the box and invoice. Ignite S3, Ignite S3 Max and Ignite S3 Pro are different model names; do not assume a page displaying “S3” describes the original watch.
Ignite S3 specifications at a glance
| Feature | What listings report | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 1.7-inch colour IPS touchscreen | Reported by Smartprix and Gadgets Now; resolution and brightness are not established in these listings. |
| Calling | Bluetooth calling with speaker and microphone | JioMart says users can answer or dial calls; this is not cellular calling. |
| Bluetooth | Bluetooth 5.0 | Listed by Smartprix and Gadgets Now. |
| GPS | No built-in GPS reported | Smartprix lists GPS as unavailable; Crossbeats’ older comparison page also distinguishes app-based GPS on some products from no in-app GPS on Ignite. |
| Health and activity | Heart rate, SpO2, sleep, steps and calories | Reported by Smartprix and retailer listings; feature presence does not establish measurement accuracy. |
| Sports modes | At least 10 in one database listing | Crossbeats’ older comparison lists fewer modes for the Ignite family; verify the exact S3 manual rather than relying on a generic count. |
| Battery | 300 mAh; seven to ten days claimed | Retailer and database claims differ; see the battery section below. |
| Standby | 15 to 20 days claimed | Listings disagree, and standby is not the same as ordinary use. |
| Water resistance | IP67 or 30 m, depending on listing | These claims are not interchangeable and do not establish swimming suitability. |
| Compatibility | Android and iOS | JioMart lists Android 4.4+ and iOS 9+; these are listing-specific, potentially outdated minimum versions. |
| App and faces | CB-ACTIV or CB Xplore; more than 110 faces claimed | JioMart names CB-ACTIV and says it offers 110-plus faces; Crossbeats’ older comparison names CB Xplore for the Ignite family. |
What are the display and everyday experience like?
The reported 1.7-inch IPS panel gives notifications, watch faces and basic menus room to breathe. Its rectangular layout may suit readers who want glanceable text, though it will look relatively large on a small wrist. IPS is not AMOLED: do not expect the deep blacks and contrast of newer AMOLED budget watches. The available specifications do not establish resolution, outdoor brightness, refresh rate or always-on display support.

Crossbeats lists replacement straps compatible with Ignite S3, including a premium silicon strap and a 22 mm sports strap. Confirm stock and fit for the exact unit before treating replacement options as assured.
Does Bluetooth calling work well?
Calling is a phone-connected feature, not an independent phone service: the mobile must remain nearby and connected. The watch needs the relevant Bluetooth call-audio pairing as well as the companion app’s connection. Setup may involve granting contact, microphone and call permissions. One Smartprix user report describes calling connection trouble and poor battery life; that is anecdotal feedback, not evidence of a widespread or systematically measured fault.
If you buy one, place a test call during the return window. Answer from the watch, check that the microphone picks up your voice, try it in a noisy place, and confirm audio returns to the phone afterward. Also test call, SMS and messaging notifications; app notification access and background permissions can affect whether alerts arrive.

Are its health and fitness readings useful?
The listed heart-rate, SpO2, sleep, step and calorie features are best treated as wellness estimates for casual trends, not medical measurements. Fit, skin contact, movement, sensor quality, software and user profile can all affect results. Loose wear, exercise movement, cold hands or poor sensor contact can make readings less useful. Do not use its heart-rate or SpO2 numbers to diagnose a condition or replace clinical equipment or medical advice.
No built-in GPS is reported for the original S3. For outdoor runs, distance and route recording may therefore depend on carrying a phone and using the companion app; it is not a standalone running watch. Crossbeats describes its newer Ignite Atlas as having built-in GPS supported by dual-satellite GLONASS, making that model more relevant if phone-free route tracking matters.
How long does the battery last?
Claims conflict. Smartprix lists up to ten days and 15 days of standby; JioMart specifies a 300 mAh battery, up to seven days of typical use and up to 20 days standby; Gadgets Now also reports up to seven days and 300 mAh. These are listing claims, not a consistent independent test. Expect roughly a week in ordinary use rather than treating the ten-day figure as guaranteed.

Frequent calls, continuous heart-rate monitoring, screen brightness, raise-to-wake, notifications and workouts can affect runtime. Battery age matters too: a unit that has sat in a warehouse for years may not perform like a fresh one, so check manufacturing or stock age and test whether it holds charge overnight.
Is the Ignite S3 safe for swimming?
Do not buy it on the assumption that it is a swimming watch. Listings variously claim IP67 or 30 m water resistance, but the available model-specific information does not resolve the discrepancy or confirm swim suitability. An IP67 claim generally refers to temporary immersion under test conditions; it is not automatically a swim rating. Check the exact unit’s box and manual, and avoid hot showers, diving, high-pressure water and saltwater unless the manufacturer explicitly permits them.
Which app does it use, and is long-term support clear?
The app information is inconsistent: JioMart refers to CB-ACTIV for watch faces, while Crossbeats’ older comparison page lists CB Xplore for the Ignite family. Check the QR code or manual supplied with the exact watch, then confirm the app is available for your phone and can pair before the return period ends. Test notification syncing, call permissions, health history and watch-face access; the available information does not establish current app maintenance or long-term cloud support.

What is a fair price in 2026?
There is no reliable universal current price for the original S3. Smartprix’s ₹2,129 entry is an out-of-stock price record last changed on November 11, 2024. Gadgets Now shows ₹5,499, but that database figure is not a verified live transaction price. JioMart’s product page does not establish a current nationwide price.
| Price offered | Buying judgment |
|---|---|
| Below ₹1,500 | Potentially acceptable for basic calling and notifications if the unit is new, warranty-backed and returnable. |
| ₹1,500–₹2,000 | Consider only if you specifically want its large display and Bluetooth calling. |
| Above ₹2,000 | Compare carefully with newer watches offering AMOLED, GPS or clearer support. |
| Near ₹5,000 | Poor value on the available evidence. |
These are buying thresholds, not observed market prices. A current Crossbeats listing for the S3 Max showed ₹1,799 when crawled, but it is a different product and is not proof the original S3 is available at that price.

Do not transfer S3 Max specifications to the original S3. Crossbeats describes the Ignite S3 Max as having a 1.85-inch UHD display, TrueHue display technology and 30 sports modes. The search result showed it sold out when crawled, so check availability directly.

Other models address specific gaps rather than being direct equivalents: the Ignite Spectra is positioned around a Retina AMOLED display and Bluetooth calling, with variants to check; the Ignite S5 is described with a 1.96-inch AMOLED screen; and the Atlas is the GPS-oriented choice. Crossbeats’ calling-watch collection also features newer models such as Ignite S4 Max. Check each exact model’s features, stock and price rather than assuming a family name means the same hardware.
Who should buy it—and who should skip it?
Consider it if
- You have confirmed the exact original Ignite S3, rather than a newer variant.
- A reputable seller offers a valid warranty and a usable return period.
- The price is clearance-level and the unit’s stock age and battery condition are clear.
- You mainly want basic Bluetooth calling, notifications and casual activity tracking, without built-in GPS or AMOLED being priorities.
Skip it if
- The seller cannot verify the model, warranty, return terms or battery condition.
- You need standalone GPS, dependable sports metrics, swimming use or medical-grade readings.
- The companion app cannot be found or paired during the return period.
- The price is close to newer alternatives or you value a clearer long-term support picture.
Checks to make before and after purchase
Before ordering
- Confirm the exact model name on the listing, box and invoice: Ignite S3, S3 Max and S3 Pro are not interchangeable.
- Check the seller, warranty provider, return window and manufacturing or stock date.
- Verify the app using the watch’s manual or QR code and make sure it is available for your phone.
- Confirm the charger is included and check whether compatible replacement straps are in stock.
When it arrives
- Record the unboxing and photograph model, serial and warranty details.
- Charge fully, pair with the correct app and test touchscreen response, including near the edges.
- Test calls and notifications, then confirm call audio and music audio return to the phone as expected.
- Check whether health readings and sleep tracking are recording, and whether the watch holds charge overnight.
- Complete functional and return checks before exposing it to water.
If calls fail, check whether the Bluetooth call-audio profile is paired separately. If notifications stop, review app notification access and background permissions. Poor sensor contact can interrupt health readings; heavy calling and continuous monitoring can reduce battery life. These checks are especially important with older inventory.
