What is the Historiador Cronógrafo 1946?
Reference 3143.1S is a modern Cuervo y Sobrinos chronograph whose design draws on mid-century styling. The manufacturer frames the Historiador collection as a tribute to tradition and the character of 1940s Havana, alongside the brand’s historical presence in the city (Cuervo y Sobrinos history). The available sources do not establish that this reference reproduces a specific documented 1946 watch.
Its dial includes the words “Únicos Importadores.” Monochrome interprets this as a reference to the firm’s history as an importer of high-end watch brands; that is the publication’s reading of the wording, not a separately verified archival conclusion (Monochrome Watches).
Design and dimensions
The watch pairs a salmon-colored dial with tobacco-brown subdials in a panda-style arrangement. The specifications are reported by independent launch coverage, not a current manufacturer inventory listing. A 5 ATM / 50 m rating is a stated specification, not a guarantee that an individual watch is safe to use in water; condition and seal integrity matter.

Fratello Watches and Monochrome Watches reported in 2023 that the reference was limited to 100 pieces and priced at €3,900. These are launch-era figures. They do not establish whether all pieces sold, current retail availability, or resale value. The manufacturer’s catalog results show other chronographs and Historiador models, but not a current listing for reference 3143.1S (Cuervo y Sobrinos collections).
