That layout gives elapsed minutes a full-dial scale instead of confining them to a small subdial. The official specifications pair it with a 42 mm ice-hardened steel case, 10 bar water resistance and a 50-hour power reserve; they do not establish how it wears or performs in independent testing.
What makes the DC86’s chronograph different?
Most chronographs show elapsed minutes on a small subdial. The DC86 instead uses a central jumping minute hand: it advances in minute increments, and one full turn represents 60 elapsed minutes. Its scale spans the dial, making the minute reading more prominent at a glance. DAMASKO says the DC8X approach prioritizes chronograph legibility and takes inspiration from the historical Lemania 5100. In the brand’s description, “60 minutes are counted instead of the usual 30 minutes in one hand revolution.” That is DAMASKO’s description of its design, not an independent comparative test.
The central chronograph seconds hand works alongside the minute hand, while a small counter records chronograph hours. Separate from the chronograph, the dial displays hours, minutes, small seconds, a 24-hour indication and date. The date has quick correction or quick setting, according to DAMASKO.
Movement and specifications
DAMASKO’s technical product page identifies the movement as caliber C51-6 and specifies a 50-hour power reserve. The current shop listing for its displayed configuration calls it C51-6 Si, specifies a silicon escape wheel and also gives a 50-hour reserve. The naming is not identical across the pages, so the Si designation should be tied to the listed configuration rather than assumed for every DC86.

The two published bezel diameters differ by 0.5 mm: the technical page gives 43.30 mm, while the current shop listing gives 43.8 mm. The source is noted because the figures should not be treated as interchangeable measurements.
What the dimensions suggest about fit
The published 42 mm case diameter is only part of the fit picture. The shop listing’s 50.14 mm lug-to-lug measurement and the 14.40 mm total height, including the domed crystal, are useful alongside it when comparing the DC86 with a watch that already fits. Its listed 103 g weight is without a strap, so the complete watch will weigh more. These figures cannot establish wrist comfort, balance or how the watch will sit on a particular wrist; try it on where possible.

The lug width is 22 mm. DAMASKO lists options including black Snow Calf leather, orange Max Endurance Sport leather-rubber, its ice-hardened steel bracelet and other stitched leather configurations. A 22 mm aftermarket strap is a reasonable search starting point, not a guarantee of fit: check the chosen strap’s ends, spring bars, length and buckle, as well as any bracelet end-link requirements. The official price list also identifies bracelet and strap-changing tools as accessories.
Price, configuration and availability
On 8 October 2026, DAMASKO’s live shop listing showed one DC86 configuration at €4,950 including VAT and marked it currently unavailable. The official portfolio PDF lists separate DC86 and DC86/2 categories with prices spanning €4,140 to €4,840; it says those prices are in euros, include 19% VAT and are subject to change. These are different snapshots and configuration contexts, not a single directly comparable price. Check the exact variant, strap or bracelet, applicable tax and shipping, and stock status before buying.
