What is the Daniel Roth Tourbillon Rose Gold?
The Tourbillon Rose Gold is reference DAAD01A1, part of Daniel Roth’s revival under LVMH. The company says Daniel Roth was founded in 1988 and that the brand was revived in 2023 with support from La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. LVMH describes the revival as beginning with a tourbillon, calling it “Mr. Roth’s favourite complication.”
The rose-gold watch followed an initial limited yellow-gold Souscription series. Its documented distinguishing details are the 5N rose-gold case and matching 18K 5N rose-gold dial with linear, pinstripe-style guilloché. The available specifications do not establish a change to the calibre compared with the preceding edition.
Case and dial specifications
Louis Vuitton Japan’s 2024 release gives the case dimensions as 38.6 × 35.5 mm and 9.2 mm thick. The double-ellipse shape blends a square and a circle, a signature Daniel Roth design that LVMH says frames the tourbillon while seeking legibility.

DR001 movement and tourbillon
The manually wound DR001 was developed and assembled by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. LVMH attributes its development to master watchmakers Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini. The tourbillon is positioned at six o’clock and completes one rotation per minute, according to the 2024 release.

The brand’s release describes the tourbillon bridge and carriage as hand-polished steel, with finishing also applied to the carriage screws. These are stated construction and finishing details; they do not constitute independent evidence of timekeeping accuracy.
How the rose-gold edition fits the revival
The yellow-gold Souscription series came first in the revival, followed by this rose-gold edition. The distinction supported by the available model information is primarily material and execution: DAAD01A1 uses a rose-gold case and a matching rose-gold dial with linear guilloché. The launch material identifies the DR001 in the rose-gold watch, but does not verify a movement change from the earlier edition.
