Vintage Watches is Éditions de la Tour’s second watch-themed playing-card deck, curated by James Lamdin, founder of Analog:Shift and a specialist in vintage and neo-vintage watches. It is a genuine poker-size, 52-card pack built for play, but its individually selected watch illustrations and embossed case also make it a displayable collectible.
What Vintage Watches is
Lamdin selected all 52 watches represented in the deck, with Éditions de la Tour drawing each one in its own graphic style. Every card has a different watch; there are no repeated illustrations. That makes the deck more than a standard pack with a watch motif applied to a few face cards.

The numbered cards use blueprint-like watch drawings. The king, queen and jack cards combine watch forms with the traditional court figures, so the watchmaking theme remains visible without sacrificing the familiar structure needed for poker, bridge or other card games.
A playable deck with collector-grade presentation
The physical specification follows a conventional poker format while emphasizing handling and longevity. The cards measure 63 × 88 mm and use 310 g/m² black-core paper with a linen texture. Black-core stock is intended to reduce show-through, while the textured finish provides the tactile surface players expect from a quality deck.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The cards arrive in an “Alligator” case with embossed and varnished details. Éditions de la Tour presents that case as part of the object rather than disposable packaging: it is designed to look at home on a shelf when the deck is not on the table.
How Vintage Watches differs from Steel Watches
Steel Watches was Éditions de la Tour’s first watch deck. Its official product page identifies it as a 52-card edition limited to 1,000 decks worldwide and now sold out. Vintage Watches develops the same basic idea but distributes the watchmaking treatment across the entire pack.

What Lamdin brings to the collaboration
Lamdin’s role is curatorial rather than merely promotional: he chose the complete set of 52 watches. His background as Analog:Shift’s founder and as a vintage and neo-vintage watch specialist supplies the subject expertise behind the selection, while Éditions de la Tour controls the illustration, printing and packaging.
The result is a deck that can be read in two ways. A player sees recognizable suits, ranks and court cards; a watch enthusiast can examine a sequence of individual designs and the way each is translated into a compact card illustration. Because no image is repeated, the deck rewards looking through the whole pack rather than stopping at the face cards.

Choose it as a player if
- You want standard poker dimensions rather than an oversized art deck.
- A linen-textured, black-core card stock matters for opaque handling and a familiar playing feel.
- You prefer a complete 52-card pack that can be used at the table, not just framed.
Choose it as a collector if
- You want a different watch represented on every card.
- The embossed and varnished “Alligator” case is part of the appeal.
- You missed Steel Watches, which is sold out, and want the newer expression of the concept.
Vintage Watches is therefore best understood as a hybrid: a functional poker deck whose design coverage, materials and case give it the presence of a small watchmaking art object. At €22 on the official listing, it offers a relatively accessible entry point to Éditions de la Tour’s watch series, subject to stock and delivery availability in your country.
