Delugs expanded its straight-end, cut-to-size (CTS) rubber strap range with four patterns: Pilot, Mosaic, Waffle, and Tropic. The straps are described as flexible FKM rubber, with underside guides for trimming each side to fit. Here’s what distinguishes the patterns and what to check before choosing one.
What Delugs added
Fratello Watches reported the four-pattern expansion on November 27, 2024. The straps share a straight-end design and FKM rubber construction; the main differences are their surface patterns and colors.
- Pilot: A pilot-style texture. Fratello illustrated it in green on an RZE × Fratello Resolute Pro “Contour.”
- Mosaic: A pattern first developed for the M.A.D.1 series, according to the article. Its example pairing was a blue strap on the Hermès H08.
- Waffle: A waffle-inspired texture, shown in orange on the MoonSwatch Mission to Mercury.
- Tropic: A familiar strap-inspired pattern, shown in black on the Breitling Superocean. “Tropic” describes the pattern here; the article clarifies that it does not mean the strap has the ventilation holes associated with classic Tropic designs.
The watch pairings are the article author’s illustrations, not a compatibility guide. Fratello’s article was labeled a partnership post, and comfort or other hands-on impressions belong to its author rather than an independent assessment.
How the CTS strap is sized
Each strap is trimmed to length rather than adjusted with a series of conventional buckle holes. Fratello describes furrows on the underside as trimming guides, spring-bar holes between those guides, and an extra piece included as a sizing backup.

- Check your watch and strap measurements first. Confirm the watch’s lug width and the strap’s available width and taper. A straight-end strap is not automatically compatible with every watch.
- Read the current sizing instructions. Use the supplied guides and instructions to determine where each side should be cut. The article does not provide a model-by-model fit list or a universal trim measurement.
- Measure carefully before cutting. Cutting is irreversible; the included extra piece is described as a backup, not a replacement for checking the fit before trimming.
Clasp, widths, colors, and reported price
Fratello described a butterfly clasp with two micro-adjustment holes on each side. In its Pilot example, it also mentioned an optional titanium clasp. Those details are from the article’s November 2024 report, so check the current product listing for available clasp choices.
At publication, Fratello reported eight colors per pattern, five width/taper options, and a starting price of €136. These are dated figures, not verified current stock or pricing. Check Delugs’ current product information before making a purchase.

What to consider before choosing a pattern
- Pattern and color: Choose the look that suits the watch; the four patterns are distinct, but the article’s example combinations should not be taken as a universal styling or fit recommendation.
- Lug width and taper: Match the strap’s stated dimensions to your watch. Verify both the lug width and the available taper.
- Trim-to-size fit: Make sure you understand the measurement and cutting process before trimming either side.
- Clasp preference: Confirm which clasp is included and whether any alternative is available for the specific pattern and size you want.
- Current availability: The reported color and size range and €136 starting price reflect Fratello’s November 27, 2024 article, not a current inventory check.
