This update preserves the original findings as historical and explains how to assess fit, tools, and current purchase terms.
What Fratello’s 2019 review covered
In his November 29, 2019 article, Fratello author Balazs Ferenczi introduced Delugs as a Singapore strap maker. He described the publication’s review process and wrote: “We do not review straps for money.” That statement describes Fratello’s stated approach at the time; it is not evidence of an independent test conducted for this update.
Ferenczi discussed three offerings: Signature straps, the Epsom Slim, and custom straps. He described Signature straps as using Japanese leather with French lining leather, and mentioned shell cordovan among the examples received. The article also noted quick-release spring bars, options for size and stitching, painted edges, keepers, and a stainless-steel buckle. Its custom leather examples included alligator, stingray, and lizard.
The review described the Epsom Slim as 2 mm thick and suggested it could suit thinner or vintage watches. That is a description of the product reviewed in 2019, not a guarantee about a current strap’s dimensions or construction.

The prices are historical, not current quotes
The article listed $99 for a stock Signature strap, $95 for an Epsom Slim, and $155 for a custom strap. What Delugs lists now—and how to choose a material
Delugs’ current ready-stock collection lists leather, FKM rubber, sailcloth, and fabric straps. Material alone does not establish whether a strap will fit or suit a particular watch: check its product listing for dimensions, hardware, and intended compatibility.

The 2019 review’s description of a 2 mm Epsom Slim may help readers understand the period-specific appeal of a thinner strap, but it does not establish current thickness or comparative comfort. For any option, assess thickness, taper, and hardware from the relevant current product details.
Will a Delugs strap fit your watch?
For standard spring-bar straps, compatibility generally begins with the distance between the watch’s lugs, measured in millimetres. Delugs’ strap-swap guidance lists a standard range of 16–26 mm. Match the strap’s stated lug width to the watch; do not assume a strap will fit because it looks similar to one shown on another watch.

Integrated straps are different: they are made for particular watch cases rather than selected only by lug width. Delugs identifies options for models including the Rolex Submariner 41 mm, Tudor Black Bay 58, and Tissot PRX. Confirm the exact reference or model through Delugs’ Strap Finder or the product listing before ordering. A family name alone may not establish compatibility.
Do you need a tool to change the strap?
Delugs says its straps come with quick-release spring bars. If the watch itself supports quick release and the bars are compatible, changing the strap may not require a tool. For many other spring-bar swaps, Delugs says a basic spring bar tool is sufficient. Removing a bracelet is a separate task for which Delugs identifies a bracelet removal tool.

In other words, a “watch spring bar tool” is an optional practical accessory, not a universal requirement. Check the watch’s spring-bar arrangement and the strap’s hardware before buying one or attempting a change; using the wrong tool or technique can scratch the watch.

Individual owner posts offer useful examples, but they are anecdotes rather than representative testing or a basis for a general quality rating. In a March 12, 2026 post, one Christopher Ward owner reviewing a Delugs CTS strap for the Twelve 38 mm said the fit improved and there was less overhang than with the OEM strap, while expressing subjective reservations about price, taper, texture, and clasp thickness. The observations concern that owner’s strap and watch, not every Delugs product: read the individual review.

A July 2, 2025 Vacheron Constantin forum post describes one owner finding a Delugs Overseas adapter too tight to remove easily. That is a model-specific report, not proof of a general adapter defect: read the post. Check current shipping, returns, warranty, and stock
These terms can change, so review the live ready-stock page and Help Center FAQ before placing an order. Delugs’ current pages advertise worldwide shipping with duties prepaid, ready-stock products without a made-to-order lead time, and a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. The Help Center says ready-stock orders ship after one working day, custom orders take around 3–6 weeks before shipping, and delivery estimates vary by destination.
The Help Center also says unworn straps may be returned within two weeks of delivery for a full refund, used straps cannot be returned, and bespoke returns carry a 20% restocking fee. It says return shipping is generally not covered unless the strap is defective. These are the stated policies on the cited pages, not permanent guarantees; confirm the current wording and any conditions that apply to your order.
