The Detrash Likemania is a limited-edition, vintage-inspired tool watch that pairs design cues from 1950s Lemania models with a case and strap made partly from recycled materials. What is the Detrash Likemania?
The Likemania is a dive-style watch from British microbrand Detrash. Time+Tide’s review describes its design as drawing on 1950s Lemania tool watches, including the Dive Supervisor and Lemania 5012. The aim, according to Detrash founder Guy Blaskey, was to combine vintage styling with a chunkier, more rugged presence.
Blaskey called it “the lovechild of the Lemania watches and a G-Shock,” adding that it brings “the vintage vibes, with more bulk and ruggedness.” That is the founder’s description of the design, not a test of the watch’s durability.
Time+Tide disclosed that its article was made in partnership with Detrash and said the opinions were the publisher’s own under its editorial policy. Its review is the source for the specifications and brand claims below; it is not an official specification sheet or an independent materials audit.

What the recycled-material claims mean
The review reports that the case uses 80% recycled 316L stainless steel and that the two-piece NATO-style strap uses recycled ocean plastic produced by Swiss firm #tide. These claims describe particular components; they do not mean the entire watch is made from recycled material. The review does not provide an independent audit of the materials or quantify the watch’s overall environmental impact.
Blaskey said he wanted to show that “you can make premium products from recycled materials” and make a product that reminds people “to do the right thing.” Time+Tide also reported that Detrash had a 1% for the Planet commitment at launch. That is a reported commitment, not a verified total of donations made.

Time+Tide reported that Detrash planned a limited run of 106 individually numbered pieces. Its August 2024 article gave launch prices of US$495, A$750 and £380. Those figures are historical launch pricing, not verified current prices, and the review does not establish whether the Likemania remains in production or is currently available.
