DeWitt lists a 59-hour reserve, 30 m water resistance and a current displayed price of CHF 42,000 excluding VAT. Its mechanism is more distinctive than its time display: a 2018 hands-on reviewer praised the design but found the numerals small and the dial visually static.
How the Endless Drive mechanism works
The central helical screw is connected to the winding and power-reserve system, rather than being a decorative dial element alone. DeWitt says it rotates as the reserve declines and moves along its axis when the watch is wound. The Foundation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) describes the screw as the reserve indicator: as the mainspring uncoils it slides down, and winding through the crown moves it up. The reserve is read through an aperture at 12 o’clock.
Hours and minutes are shown on discs at 3 and 9 o’clock, not by conventional central hands. DeWitt describes the screw as the visual centerpiece of the dial; that is the maker’s positioning, not an independent assessment.

Price and availability context
DeWitt’s Academia collection page currently displays CHF 42,000 excluding VAT. That is the manufacturer’s listed price, not a confirmed transaction price; taxes and final cost depend on the buyer’s location and sale terms. Check the current listing with DeWitt before purchase.

What reviewers have said about the dial
In a 2018 hands-on review, WatchProSite’s reviewer admired the unusual reserve display, movement architecture and overall aesthetic, but considered the time-disc numerals too small for easy reading and the dial visually static. Those are one reviewer’s impressions, not a controlled legibility test or a universal owner verdict.
A separate 2018 review also spoke favorably about the finishing and exposed movement. These comments are subjective review judgments; available evidence does not establish a current comparative test, owner survey, timing measurement or long-term service record.

Who the Endless Drive may suit
This is a specialist choice for someone drawn to an unconventional mechanical display and the visible motion of its reserve mechanism. It is less straightforward if immediate time legibility is the priority: the hours and minutes sit on small discs, and one reviewer specifically criticized their numeral size. The 42.5 mm diameter, 12.85 mm thickness and 30 m water resistance are also practical comparison points when considering other watches.
- Distinctive mechanism: the screw’s rotation and axial travel make the reserve indication central to the watch’s identity.
- Nontraditional time reading: rotating hour and minute discs replace central hands.
- Ownership questions: compare winding type, reserve, case size, materials, water resistance, price and tax geography, plus service support.
There is not enough evidence here to name a comprehensive set of direct competitors or rank the watch against them.

DeWitt says its certified pre-owned watches are restored and certified at its Geneva manufacture and come with a three-year warranty. Model-specific Endless Drive inventory is not established, so ask DeWitt whether one is available and confirm the applicable warranty and terms.
