Usually, yes: running a conventional mechanical chronograph makes the movement do extra work, so the watch can stop sooner than it would with the chronograph stopped. How much sooner depends on the specific movement; there is no universal number of hours or percentage.
Why an active chronograph can shorten power reserve
A mechanical watch’s power reserve is the time it continues running on energy released by its wound mainspring. A chronograph adds moving parts and work when its timing function is engaged, drawing more energy from the movement. IWC explains that active complications such as a chronograph require energy and decrease power reserve (IWC Schaffhausen, “The Watch Mainspring – all wound up”).

The effect is not identical in every watch. The chronograph’s design and the movement as a whole influence the additional load, and the available manufacturer information does not establish a general reduction that applies across calibres.

Why some designs behave differently
Chronograph architecture can affect how the timing mechanism interacts with the rest of the movement. Grand Seiko contrasts the usual reserve loss of a conventional mechanical chronograph with its Spring Drive system, which it says maintains a 72-hour reserve while the chronograph runs (Grand Seiko, “From three hands to a chronograph. Innovation opens up new horizons”). That is a claim about this particular system, not evidence that all chronographs maintain their reserve.
Breguet describes a vertical clutch in its Type 20/XX and a separate-energy arrangement for the Tradition Chronographe Indépendant 7077. These are different engineering approaches to the chronograph’s operation and energy demands; neither example supports assuming that every vertical-clutch watch avoids a reserve reduction (Type 20 and Type XX Chronographs; Tradition Chronographe Indépendant 7077).

What to expect from your own watch
If you leave a conventional mechanical chronograph running, it may run out of stored energy sooner than it would with the chronograph stopped. For a useful estimate, look for the reserve specification and operating conditions for your exact calibre in the manufacturer’s documentation. A stated reserve without a chronograph-running qualification should not automatically be read as a figure measured with the chronograph engaged.

A reserve figure from one model cannot predict the effect in another. For context, reserve is energy stored in the mainspring rather than a separate battery-like supply (NOMOS Glashütte, “Power reserve and power reserve indicator”).
