What is a wandering hours watch?
A wandering-hours watch displays the hour with numerals that move across a curved scale, rather than with a conventional central hour hand. On the DWISS S1, two satellite discs travel along the upper arc. The numeral on the disc currently aligned with the minute track identifies the hour; the position along that arc indicates the minutes. A central disc displays seconds. DWISS says the arrangement takes inspiration from the Moon’s path around Earth.

How does the DWISS S1 tell time?
Read the active hour numeral on the satellite disc as the hour, then read its position against the minute scale to determine the minutes. The separate central disc indicates seconds. Because the hour numeral moves around the upper arc, the display may take a moment to interpret if you are used to standard hands.

DWISS describes the S1 as “the most ambitious DWISS timepiece to date.” That is the brand’s own characterization. The watch’s distinctive display also reflects the company’s stated aim to tell time differently.
What is the DWISS S1 15th anniversary edition?

How many DWISS S1 anniversary watches were made?
DWISS states that the orange edition is limited to 50 pieces and the silver edition to 50 pieces, for a stated combined edition size of 100 watches. The brand also says the colors will not be reissued. Those statements describe the announced limits, not current availability or verified sales and production totals.
