Every Watch Brand Sponsorship For The 2024 Formula 1 Season had one sport-wide answer: Rolex was Formula 1’s global partner and official timekeeper in 2024. Team relationships connected TAG Heuer, IWC, Richard Mille, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., and Tudor to seven entries; no watch sponsor was identified for Williams, Kick Sauber, or Haas.

The 2024 field should be read as a season-specific snapshot, not as a list of every watch worn by an F1 driver. This audit separates Formula 1’s championship-level timekeeper from constructor partnerships and uses “no watch sponsor identified” where the available contemporaneous evidence does not establish a team relationship.

Key takeaways

  • Rolex was Formula 1’s sport-level global partner and official timekeeper during the 2024 season, not a sponsor of one particular constructor or active driver; TAG Heuer’s sport-wide timekeeper role returned in 2025.
  • TAG Heuer was Oracle Red Bull Racing’s timing and watch partner, while IWC Schaffhausen was Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS’s Official Engineering Partner.
  • Richard Mille had 2024 team relationships with both Scuderia Ferrari and McLaren.
  • Girard-Perregaux partnered with Aston Martin, H. Moser & Cie. became Alpine Motorsports’ Timekeeping Partner, and Tudor partnered with Visa Cash App RB.
  • No watch sponsor was identified for Williams, Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, or MoneyGram Haas in the contemporaneous 2024 season overview.

Who were the watch sponsors in F1 in 2024?

The 2024 Formula 1 watch sponsorship map contained one sport-wide relationship and seven team-level relationships. The FIA’s 2024 official media kit listed ten teams, but not every team had an identified watch-brand partner in the available season evidence.

The distinction matters. Rolex served Formula 1 as a global partner and official timekeeper across the championship. TAG Heuer, IWC Schaffhausen, Richard Mille, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., and Tudor were connected to individual teams. A driver’s personal watch endorsement or a watch seen in a team photograph does not automatically establish a team sponsorship.

Williams No watch sponsor identified No identified team-level watch relationship The contemporaneous overview said the Bremont relationship had ended in 2023; this does not rule out personal driver arrangements.
Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber No watch sponsor identified No identified team-level watch relationship The overview said Rebellion Timepieces had been associated with the team in 2022 and 2023 but had ended its watchmaking activities.
MoneyGram Haas No watch sponsor identified No identified team-level watch relationship No team watch affiliation was identified in the dated 2024 overview.

Was Rolex the official F1 watch in 2024?

Yes. Rolex was Formula 1’s sport-level global partner and official timekeeper for the 2024 season. Rolex’s role covered the championship rather than one constructor, so describing Rolex as a 2024 “team sponsor” would be inaccurate.

The 2024 season overview described Rolex as holding the official F1 timekeeper position since the 2013 season and specifically separated that role from team and driver sponsorships. Rolex therefore belongs in the overall F1 row of the map, not beside Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari, or another individual team.

TAG Heuer’s later role should not be projected backward into 2024. Formula 1’s official partner page identifies TAG Heuer’s return as the sport-wide official timekeeper beginning with the 2025 season. In the 2024 snapshot, TAG Heuer was associated with Red Bull Racing at team level.

Which watch brand sponsored each 2024 F1 team?

Oracle Red Bull Racing — TAG Heuer

TAG Heuer was Oracle Red Bull Racing’s watch and timing partner in 2024. The partnership was described as dating to 2016, with the timing sponsorship extended through the end of the 2024 season in the contemporaneous overview.

Red Bull’s relationship is the source of one common error in historical F1-watch coverage: TAG Heuer’s Red Bull team connection is not the same as TAG Heuer being Formula 1’s official timekeeper in 2024. The sport-wide role returned only for the 2025 season, while the 2024 team-level relationship belonged to Red Bull.

For readers looking for a current product rather than a historical team-issued reference, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph Automatic, 44 mm, Titanium CBZ2082.FT8096 was listed at $4,950 at the time of verification. The official product page specifies a titanium case, automatic chronograph movement, tachymeter bezel, rubber strap, and 200 m water resistance. The current reference should not be presented as the exact watch worn by a Red Bull driver or issued to Red Bull personnel without separate evidence.

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS — IWC Schaffhausen

IWC Schaffhausen became Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team’s Official Engineering Partner in 2013. The relationship is more specific than a generic logo placement: IWC says the partnership produced special-edition and official team watches worn trackside by engineers, mechanics, and race strategists.

IWC’s wording makes the engineering connection central. The watches are part of a broader partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS team, but the available evidence here does not establish one particular 2024 retail reference, price, or Amazon listing. Readers shopping for a Mercedes-associated IWC should therefore distinguish an officially documented team watch from a watch merely marketed with motorsport styling.

Scuderia Ferrari — Richard Mille

Richard Mille was Ferrari’s official watch relationship in 2024, but the agreement did not begin during the 2024 season. Ferrari announced on February 22, 2021, that Richard Mille would become Scuderia Ferrari’s Team Partner and Official Watch beginning with the next F1 season.

Ferrari’s announcement said Richard Mille branding would appear on the team’s single-seaters and the drivers’ helmets. For a 2024 audit, the accurate description is therefore a continuing partnership inherited from an earlier agreement, not a newly signed 2024 sponsorship.

McLaren — Richard Mille

Richard Mille also had a McLaren team partnership in 2024. The same watch brand consequently appeared in two separate team relationships on the 2024 grid: Ferrari and McLaren.

Richard Mille’s McLaren partnership page frames the relationship around shared engineering, technical development, and performance values. The fact that Ferrari and McLaren shared a watch partner does not mean the two activations, watches, or branding treatments were identical. A brand can maintain separate commercial and product programs with separate constructors.

Aston Martin Aramco — Girard-Perregaux

Girard-Perregaux was Aston Martin Aramco’s watch partner in 2024. Aston Martin Aramco announced the renewal on February 8, 2024, saying the partnership had already run for three years and that the Girard-Perregaux logo would continue to appear as the team prepared its AMR24 car.

Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Executive Chairman, described the relationship this way: “It’s been a remarkable three years in partnership with Girard-Perregaux.” Aston Martin’s renewal announcement supports the 2024 status and the continued logo visibility; it does not by itself establish a specific retail watch reference or sponsorship value.

BWT Alpine — H. Moser & Cie.

H. Moser & Cie. became Alpine Motorsports’ Timekeeping Partner in 2024. The partnership was announced on February 1, 2024, and covered the BWT Alpine F1 Team as well as Alpine’s wider motorsport program.

The announcement called H. Moser & Cie. Alpine Motorsports’ first global partner and explicitly used the Timekeeping Partner designation across all disciplines. Edouard Meylan, H. Moser & Cie.’s CEO, said, “What interests me in collaborations is to explore new territories, to enjoy a journey with others and to share different perspectives.” Alpine’s announcement is the primary source for the scope and 2024 start date.

Visa Cash App RB — Tudor

Tudor was Visa Cash App RB’s official partner for the 2024 season. Tudor announced the relationship on February 1, 2024, describing it as the brand’s return to motorsport through the newly created Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team.

Tudor branding appeared on the car livery and the drivers’ race suits. Tudor CEO Eric Pirson said, “TUDOR has always been fueled by a daring spirit, a consistent will to do things differently.” Tudor’s official announcement establishes the team relationship, while a separate 2024 season overview reported a blue-dial Black Bay Ceramic connected with the Miami Grand Prix activation. Exact retail availability of that product should be checked independently before it is recommended as a current purchase.

Which 2024 F1 teams had no watch sponsor identified?

Williams, Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, and MoneyGram Haas had no watch sponsor identified in the contemporaneous 2024 season overview. That wording is deliberately narrower than saying the teams had no watches, because drivers, executives, and team members can have personal brand relationships that are not team sponsorships.

Williams’ Bremont relationship had ended in 2023. Kick Sauber’s earlier Rebellion Timepieces association covered 2022 and 2023, but the watch company had stopped its watchmaking activities. The reproduced Rebellion statement said: “The Board of Directors of Rebellion has decided to concentrate exclusively on automotive activities. We are therefore terminating the activities of Rebellion Timepieces SA.” The dated 2024 overview is the source for these negative findings and for the absence of an identified Haas watch affiliation.

What is the difference between a sport-level timekeeper and a team watch sponsor?

A sport-level timekeeper serves the championship as a whole, while a team watch sponsor has a commercial relationship with one constructor. Rolex’s 2024 F1 role was sport-wide; TAG Heuer’s 2024 Red Bull role was team-specific.

What are the best 2024 F1 team watches to buy?

There is no evidence-based single “best” watch for every reader, because the 2024 partnerships range from an accessible luxury chronograph to highly specialized collector watches. The clearest currently verified product fit is TAG Heuer’s Formula 1 Chronograph, while the other brands require a model-by-model check of retail availability, authorized dealers, or the reputable pre-owned market.

Brand connection Buying profile What is verified here Buying caution
TAG Heuer / Red Bull Racing Most straightforward current Formula 1-branded option in this research Formula 1 Chronograph Automatic CBZ2082.FT8096; 44 mm titanium case, automatic chronograph, tachymeter, rubber strap, 200 m water resistance, listed at $4,950 at verification Do not call this exact current reference the 2024 Red Bull team-issued watch without separate evidence.
IWC / Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Luxury team-watch and engineering-partnership appeal IWC documents official team watches and special editions Exact current model, price, and inventory were not established in this audit.
Richard Mille / Ferrari or McLaren High-luxury collector market Official Ferrari and McLaren team relationships Specific retail product and pricing were not verified here; a specialist or pre-owned route may be necessary.
Girard-Perregaux / Aston Martin Luxury collector appeal tied to a renewed 2024 partnership Partnership renewal and AMR24 logo visibility Choose a verified partnership model rather than assuming every Aston Martin-themed watch was a 2024 team product.
H. Moser & Cie. / Alpine Independent-watchmaking and motorsport-program appeal 2024 Timekeeping Partner designation across Alpine Motorsports Exact retail product and external program availability require separate verification.
Tudor / Visa Cash App RB Mainstream luxury sports-watch and activation appeal Official 2024 team partnership; blue-dial Black Bay Ceramic reported in connection with the Miami activation Confirm whether the desired activation watch is currently sold and whether it is a limited or market-specific product.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph is the cleanest product recommendation in this article because its product-family name directly matches Formula 1 and its maker had a central 2024 team relationship through Red Bull. The official product page verifies the specifications and the $4,950 price at the time of verification, but current stock, third-party listings, and affiliate availability can change.

How can you verify an F1 watch sponsorship?

Use the partnership role stated by the team or watch brand, then check the season date and the scope of the relationship. A reliable audit should follow these steps:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Identify the level of the relationship. Determine whether the announcement says Formula 1 overall, a constructor, a driver, a racing division, or a product collaboration.
  2. Check the season status. Separate a relationship active in 2024 from one announced in 2024 for a later season, and distinguish a renewal from a new partnership.
  3. Confirm visible activation. Car livery, race suits, helmets, pit-lane equipment, and official team watches are different forms of visibility and should not be collapsed into one claim.
  4. Separate products from sponsorships. A watch with a Formula 1 name, a team colorway, or a driver association is not necessarily the watch used in the sponsorship activation.
  5. Use cautious language for gaps. “No watch sponsor identified in the contemporaneous 2024 overview” is supportable; “the team had no watches at all” is not.

That method explains why Rolex belongs in the sport-level section, why TAG Heuer belongs in the Red Bull section for 2024, and why a driver photograph alone cannot expand the official team list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Was Rolex a sponsor of an F1 team in 2024?

No. Rolex was Formula 1’s sport-level global partner and official timekeeper in 2024, not a sponsor of one particular F1 constructor or active driver.

Did TAG Heuer officially time Formula 1 in 2024?

No. TAG Heuer was Oracle Red Bull Racing’s team-level timing and watch partner in 2024. Formula 1’s sport-wide official-timekeeper role returned to TAG Heuer beginning with the 2025 season.

Is the current TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph the exact Red Bull watch from 2024?

Not on the evidence used for this audit. TAG Heuer’s current Formula 1 Chronograph Automatic CBZ2082.FT8096 is a commercially sold Formula 1-branded watch, but the exact current reference should not be identified as the 2024 Red Bull team-issued watch without separate proof.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Which 2024 F1 teams had no watch sponsor identified?

No watch sponsor was identified for Williams, Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, or MoneyGram Haas in the contemporaneous 2024 season overview. That finding does not exclude personal driver watch relationships or an arrangement omitted from the dated overview.

The Bottom Line

For the 2024 Formula 1 season, Rolex was the championship’s official timekeeper, while TAG Heuer, IWC, Richard Mille, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., and Tudor held team-level relationships. TAG Heuer was tied to Red Bull; IWC to Mercedes; Richard Mille to Ferrari and McLaren; Girard-Perregaux to Aston Martin; H. Moser & Cie. to Alpine; and Tudor to Visa Cash App RB. Williams, Kick Sauber, and Haas had no watch sponsor identified in the contemporaneous overview.
