What changed in the updated Octa Divine?
In January 2016, F.P. Journe announced that the Octa Divine had a “new look: elegant, uncluttered, and perfectly legible.” That is the brand’s description of the update, not an independent assessment. The announcement identifies the timing of the revised design, but does not itemize every visual change against earlier versions.
The updated watch’s display brings several indications together: central hours and minutes, small seconds at 4:30, a large date, power reserve and moon phase. The large date and sapphire moon-phase display are also highlighted in the brand’s current collection overview.
Octa Divine specifications and configuration differences
F.P. Journe’s collection overview lists 40 mm and 42 mm case options in red gold or platinum. Its technical page also documents a 36 mm version. These sizes should not be treated as interchangeable options for every Octa Divine: confirm the specific model or generation before comparing dimensions or materials.

How long is the Octa Divine power reserve?
F.P. Journe’s technical page lists 160 ± 10 hours of autonomy and separately states chronometric precision for 120 hours. Those are distinct specifications: the 120-hour precision figure is not a second way of stating the full autonomy figure, and should not be presented as the watch’s total power reserve.
Movement and display
Calibre 1300.3 is an automatic movement made in 18K rose gold. Through the transparent sapphire back, the movement can be viewed; the collection page describes its off-centre rotor as 22K red gold and its winding as unidirectional.

On the dial, the small seconds sit at 4:30 while the central hands indicate hours and minutes. The large date, moon phase and power-reserve display add information without changing the watch’s core time display. As case size and configuration vary, details should be checked against the particular example rather than assumed from the collection name alone.
Production history and boutique edition
F.P. Journe states that the documented Octa Divine model was produced from 2003 to 2021. The January 2016 announcement therefore marks a design update during the model’s production history, not the start of production.
