The green-dial Blancpain Villeret Quantième Perpétuel, reference 6656-363-55B, arrived in 2024 as a new colorway for the collection—not a new 2026 release. It pairs a sunray-brushed green dial with a polished 18k red-gold case, while an automatic perpetual-calendar movement tracks the date, day, month and leap year alongside a moon-phase display.
What changed on the green-dial Villeret perpetual calendar?
The 2024 model keeps the Villeret’s formal, traditional layout and changes its visual emphasis: a dark green sunray-brushed dial replaces a more restrained dial treatment, set against the warmth of polished red gold. Applied red-gold Roman numerals and recessed calendar displays preserve the classic character rather than turning the watch into a sporty or high-contrast design.
At six o’clock, a moon-phase display joins the calendar indications. The watch is finished with a brown alligator-leather strap and a red-gold folding clasp. Blancpain says the green shade used across the Villeret collection was inspired by the fir trees surrounding its manufacture in Le Brassus, in Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux. The brand’s August 2024 announcement described the later spread of the green dial to other Villeret models as following the perpetual calendar.
How does its perpetual calendar work?
A perpetual calendar is designed to account for months of different lengths and leap years, so the wearer does not need to correct the calendar at the end of every short month. On this watch, the displays cover the date, day of the week, month and leap-year indication; the moon phase is shown separately. Monochrome’s 2024 launch coverage says the calendar is programmed to run without calendar correction until 2100. That is a programmed-calendar claim, not a statement that the watch can go without winding, care or any other adjustment for that entire period.

Launch coverage identifies the automatic movement as calibre 5954 and reports 351 components, 32 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, a silicon hairspring and a 72-hour power reserve. Blancpain’s own editorial identifies the green-dial model’s calibre as 5954.4 and describes it as an elaboration of calibre 1150; it also gives the 72-hour reserve and silicon hairspring. The naming differs slightly between the sources, so the movement is best identified as calibre 5954, with Blancpain’s editorial using the 5954.4 designation.
How are the calendar indications set?
Rather than using visible recessed corrector holes on the side of the case, Blancpain places the calendar correctors beneath the lugs. The wearer presses them with a fingertip to adjust the indications, keeping the case flank visually clean.
Rank #2
Blancpain says the setting arrangement disengages parts that would otherwise participate in automatic calendar advancement while the wearer makes a manual adjustment. That is the manufacturer’s description of the protective design; the available sources do not independently test its operation.

It identifies the watch as 6656-363-55B; a later retailer-focused article uses a different reference suffix, 6656-3653-55B. Confirm the reference against a current Blancpain listing before relying on the discrepancy for identification or purchase.
