The original Brellum Duobox 39 Chronometer LE is a limited-edition, Swiss-made automatic chronograph in a smaller-than-usual-for-Brellum 39.5mm case. Its 48mm lug-to-lug span may suit buyers who found earlier Brellum watches too large, but its 15.3mm thickness means the compact diameter does not make it a slim watch. The 2024 launch reviews reported 46 numbered pieces per dial color, a COSC-certified column-wheel movement and both a steel bracelet and black calfskin strap.
What the Duobox 39 Chronometer LE is
Brellum’s Duobox 39 Chronometer LE is a stainless-steel automatic chronograph offered in silver, blue and anthracite dial versions. Fratello and Monochrome reported that each color was limited to 46 numbered watches—46 per color, not 46 across all three. The model was presented as a more compact alternative within Brellum’s Duobox line.
The Duobox name refers to its box-style sapphire crystals on both the dial side and the display caseback. The reported specification also includes anti-reflective coating on the front crystal and 100-meter water resistance. These are stated specifications; they do not by themselves establish suitability for a particular water activity.
How the case may wear
The two November 2024 hands-on reviews report the same case dimensions:

The practical fit question is therefore not simply whether 39.5mm is small enough. The 48mm lug-to-lug measurement and 15.3mm overall thickness also matter: buyers prioritizing a low-profile watch should weigh those figures alongside the diameter.
What the BR-110 movement offers—and what remains unclear
The BR-110 is described in both launch reviews as an automatic, COSC-certified chronograph with a column wheel, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, 26 jewels and a 60-hour power reserve. The watch displays hours, minutes, small seconds, central chronograph seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour counters, and a date at the 6 o’clock register. A pulsometer scale is printed on the dial.

The underlying La Joux-Perret caliber designation is unresolved in the published coverage: Fratello identifies an L100 base, while Monochrome identifies an L110 base. Until Brellum confirms which is correct, it is more accurate to refer to the movement as the BR-110 rather than choose one base designation.
COSC certification is reported for the movement, but the reviews do not provide an independent accuracy test of an individual watch. The certification should not be mistaken for a published result from such a test.

Dial choices and what came in the box
The launch reviews describe three dial colors—silver, blue and anthracite—with 46 numbered pieces allocated to each color. They also report two included wearing options: a five-row stainless-steel bracelet and a black calfskin strap. The reviews differ slightly in their descriptions of clasp details, so the launch coverage does not establish a single exact clasp specification for both options.
Launch price and availability
Fratello reported a launch price of €3,765 including VAT and shipping in November 2024. Monochrome reported launch prices of CHF 3,190, USD 3,690 and GBP 3,150 in its November 2024 coverage. These are historical launch figures, not current quotations. The cited coverage describes direct online sales through Brellum at release; it does not establish present stock, a current price, warranty terms or current retailer availability.
Who should consider it?
- It may appeal if: you want a mechanical chronograph with a 39.5mm diameter, a column-wheel movement, COSC certification and a 60-hour stated reserve, and value having both a bracelet and strap included.
- Consider the fit carefully if: your priority is a thin or unobtrusive watch. At 15.3mm thick, including its crystals, the Duobox 39 is not a slim-watch proposition even with its smaller diameter.
- Check before buying if: current availability, price, warranty support or the exact movement base designation is important to your decision. The 2024 launch reviews do not settle those current or conflicting details.
