Bvlgari’s all-black Octo Roma release comprises two distinct watches: the 41 mm Automatic Black DLC, reference 103927, and the 42 mm Chronograph Black DLC, reference 103932. Both use black-DLC-treated steel cases, black Clous de Paris dials and are rated to 100 m water resistance by Bvlgari. The chronograph adds BVL 399, chronograph timing and a published 42-hour power reserve; the automatic uses BVL 191 for hours, minutes, central seconds and date.
What is the all-black Bvlgari Octo Roma?
These are black-DLC versions of the Octo Roma, not a single watch offered with two movement options. Bvlgari’s US product pages identify the automatic as reference 103927 and the chronograph as reference 103932. Time and Watches reported the pair as new models in 2024; the specifications below are those Bvlgari publishes for each reference.
“All-black” describes the overall treatment rather than every detail being uniformly black. The models combine black-finished cases and dials with black indexes and hands; Bvlgari specifies luminous material on the hands and indexes. The chronograph also has a black-DLC-treated crown and pushers. Both dials use a Clous de Paris pattern.
Octo Roma Automatic Black DLC 103927: the time-and-date option
The 103927 is the simpler of the pair in function: it displays hours, minutes, central seconds and date, powered by Bvlgari’s automatic mechanical BVL 191 caliber. Its stainless-steel case is 41 mm in diameter, with a black DLC treatment. The date appears at 3 o’clock.

Bvlgari lists a black rubber strap and an additional black alligator strap, with the rubber strap described as interchangeable. Its published water resistance is 100 m. The product page does not specify a power-reserve figure in the supplied specifications.
Octo Roma Chronograph Black DLC 103932: the lead model
Reference 103932 is the 42 mm chronograph. Its automatic BVL 399 movement drives the chronograph, small seconds and date, with the date positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. Bvlgari specifies a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and a 42-hour power reserve.

The case is sandblasted stainless steel with black DLC treatment and measures 12.40 mm thick, according to Bvlgari. The matte black Clous de Paris dial has black indexes and hands with Super-LumiNova. Bvlgari also lists a transparent caseback, black-DLC-treated crown and pushers, and 100 m water resistance. The watch is supplied with an interchangeable black rubber strap and an additional black alligator strap.
How the three Octo Roma choices compare
The closest same-collection contrast for the black chronograph is the conventional steel Octo Roma Chronograph, reference 103471. It shares the 42 mm size and BVL 399 caliber with the 103932, but uses satin-brushed and polished steel and comes with an interchangeable steel bracelet. Its dial is also black with a Clous de Paris pattern. The table reflects Bvlgari’s published specifications and US displayed prices noted in 2026.

The three references separate most clearly by purpose and finish. The 103927 is the time-and-date choice; the other two add chronograph timing and use the same BVL 399 caliber. Between those chronographs, the decision is principally black-DLC case with rubber and alligator straps versus conventional finished steel with a steel bracelet. Compare the date position and dial details on the exact reference as well, rather than assuming the shared collection name means every feature is identical.
