It launched at CHF 25,000 before taxes in 2024. Czapek now lists it in its archive, but does not say on the archive page whether this particular watch is in stock or sold out.
What makes the Purple Storm distinctive?
The defining feature is its dial, made by Swiss dial specialist Metalem. Each dial starts with a black base, then receives a hand-applied purple gradient and cloudy shapes. The launch coverage describes the dial as having no indexes, so its expressive finish takes priority over conventional hour markers. The hand-varnishing means examples have individual variations in appearance rather than an identical cloud pattern.
Czapek & Cie CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel said: “This watch is a celebration of art, craftsmanship and individuality.”
Case, movement and specifications
The Purple Storm retains the Antarctique’s integrated-bracelet steel sports-watch format. Its 40.5 mm stainless-steel case is 10.6 mm thick, with a sapphire crystal and integrated steel bracelet. The reported water resistance is 120 m; the press release specifies a screw-down crown, while Fratello describes it as guarded.

The SXH5’s micro-rotor is described as recycled platinum in Czapek’s press release. These are published specifications, not results of independent testing.
How much did the Czapek Purple Storm cost?
Its international launch retail price was CHF 25,000 before taxes. That is the historical 2024 launch price, not a current offer or a guide to the watch’s present secondary-market value. The launch coverage says the package included a stainless-steel bracelet and a matching purple leather strap. The press release instead describes an additional matching purple alligator strap, or a rubber strap in standard collection colors.

Is it still available?
Czapek includes the Purple Storm among the Antarctique archive editions. The brand says archive pieces are extremely limited and are not restocked or repeated, but the Purple Storm entry is not marked “sold out.” The archive listing therefore confirms its archive status, not whether an example can currently be purchased.
For a current answer, ask Czapek or an authorized retailer about availability. The launch edition’s 18-piece limit does not establish whether any example remains with a retailer or is being offered privately, and the sources do not establish a current market price.

Who is this edition for?
The Purple Storm’s strongest appeal is its unusually expressive, individually finished dial within the familiar steel Antarctique case and bracelet. Its lack of indexes may not suit someone who prioritizes conventional dial legibility. With only 18 pieces made, it is a narrowly limited variation rather than a broadly available standard model. No hands-on assessment or head-to-head performance comparison is established by the published launch sources.
