Its defining detail is a Latin phrase hidden beneath the enamel, visible only at certain angles of light.
What is the Quai des Bergues “Sursum Corda”?
Czapek frames the watch around two anniversaries: 180 years since François Czapek founded his Geneva atelier in 1845, and 10 years since the brand’s modern revival in 2015. The phrase “Sursum Corda,” which Czapek translates as “Lift up your hearts,” is presented as a personal reference to resilience. The brand says a team member suggested embedding it in the dial; it appears beneath the enamel and emerges only in select light. Czapek’s anniversary product page gives the model’s release details.
The phrase has a subtle visual counterpart in the small-seconds subdial: a reproduction of François Czapek’s signature. The case is also laser-engraved with “10 / 180,” connecting the modern revival and the atelier’s founding. These commemorative elements are specific to the anniversary watch, rather than a new collection name.
Case, dial and design
Rose gold and enamel
The No 33 M is presented in an 18K rose-gold case measuring 40.5 mm. Its white Grand Feu enamel dial carries the Quai des Bergues design language of elongated Roman numerals and two offset subdials: small seconds and power reserve.

Czapek says 40.5 mm will become the sole case size for future Quai des Bergues models. That makes the anniversary watch a marker of the line’s direction as well as a commemorative edition.
A line rooted in the brand’s history
The Quai des Bergues collection launched in 2015 and takes its name from François Czapek’s first Geneva atelier. Czapek says the modern line’s early designs drew on 19th-century archival material, including pocket-watch reference 3430. Grand Feu enamel, elongated Roman numerals and twin offset subdials are among the collection’s established visual cues.

Movement and everyday use
The Sursum Corda is manual-winding, with a twin-barrel movement and a stated seven-day power reserve. The remaining reserve is shown on the dial, so the wearer can see when winding is due. In practical terms, the watch needs winding about once a week when fully wound; actual timing depends on the wearer’s routine and the watch’s state of wind.
Czapek describes the calibre as drawing on early Quai des Bergues wristwatches and pocket-watch architecture. The official product information cites circular graining, sand-blasted surfaces and hand-chamfered bridges as elements of its finishing.

Water resistance is listed as 50 metres (5 ATM). Czapek cautions against wearing it for baths or showers, so the rating should not be read as a recommendation for those activities.
Edition, price and production time
Czapek lists the watch as a limited edition of 10 pieces and gives a price of CHF 36,500 excluding VAT. Its product page estimates approximately nine months to craft the model and says watches are made on demand. Those prices and production details reflect the official page accessed on October 7, 2026, and may change; check the live listing and applicable taxes or terms for your market before making a purchase decision.

Czapek’s official US catalogue lists the model at $51,100. This is a regional catalogue figure, not a direct currency conversion or a like-for-like after-tax comparison with the CHF price.
